I recall the deathclaw gauntlet using a mixture of swinging, and thrusts. Though in New Vegas, given the incomplete, idle status of the gauntlet, the thing has some animation problems when the player uses power attacks.

Well, if it was a scythe, then yes, it's meant to be swung. So I must concede my point then and shut my mouth.

Painfully obvious that it would make more sense to be swung. Does a tiger thrust with his paws or does he swing them?

well, you might be right SColla but the original name for the weapon is Mantis Scythe, and Scythes are meant to be swung, plus it does sort of have that hook curve to it, but i could be wrong in my observation

Thrusting is what it's meant to do, after all, it's a punching weapon, not meant to be swung. But great work.

@OriginalWolfMan: The WAY it thrusts puts the curve pointing down, not at the targeted fleshy bits or what have you.

Still, can't fix one without the other. The sound is linked to the animation, so I went with the one that had a) an appropriate sound, and b) a believable animation.

i can agree with the sound effect, but it may be meant to be thrust, as it has a point on it, so it could be meant for stabbin' the enemies
