Just posting this in case anyone else is having the issue where Vault Child causes rad resistance to drop by the thousands or something ridiculous. I tried to add rad resistance to offset the issue using modav but it just kept dropping constantly, reducing each time I looked at the pip-boy. The only thing that worked was typing player.removeperk XX000AE6 (XX = the mod index determined by its place in your load order) into the console to get rid of it entirely.
I'm not 100% certain this was caused by the mod alone and not something else conflicting with it, but like I said removing the trait solved the issue. I hope this helps if anyone else was instantly dying from any source of rads like I was lol
If you're using my mod, A Roleplayers History - Patchy's Picks, alongside this one, my mod adds certain requirements to being able to pick specific traits. These are detailed on my mod page.
Seems like half the traits add to Guns, whereas I don't think I saw any boosts to Melee/Unarmed. Not the best mod in terms of variety, but it does provide traits that I'll actually select, so it's not all bad.
Don't know if the mod author is still around after all this time, and I'm not sure whether it is a bug or a feature, but I played as a Vault Child and drank dirty water - instant death from fatal rad poisoning. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoy the mod, and find it very useful for my Couriers. Endorsed.
