This is neat. I may take some time at some point and update this to work with the DLCs and TTW. I know this file is pretty old, can I trust the permissions section and release an update if I end up making it? With credit to you, of course.
If someone can pick up on this idea and add more weapons, i would be all over it. I would rather have all melee weapons work than only a fraction, i there was some way to make this work on all melee weapons, it would cover weapons added in DLC and mods, and maybe weapons could be removed via MCM or something, if someone has immersion problems with fixing a chainsaw with a stone.
i should really learn to mod.. its just finding all the best mods and getting them to work together seems like enough work already xD
True. One or 2 weapons can't be repaired with whet stones right now. Like the Bowie knife or the Katana. Still it's a great mod. I hope you'll get around to include more weapons in the repair possibilities. Endorsed!
I see how it doesn't make sense to repair throwing weapons, but you COULD make crafting recipes for them that use the whetstone and like 3 or 4 or the throwing weapons to make "sharpened throwing weapons" or something like that. Just an idea. There's probably already something like that, huh. Also the mod hasn't been updated in two and a half years. Oh well.
Yeah, not really much updating needed. The method is pretty basic and stable.
It only really just occurred to me that it should be to at least account for the Bowie Knife and a few other DLC weapons. I may go make some DLC versions of the mod.
