I gotten one error that's likely not going to happen again, but may as well report it just in case, so hear me out.
See, the error occurred in Goodsprings where I chose to fight the Powder Gangers. When they appeared, I couldn't throw the spear in third or first person mode nor could I use it in VATS, forcing me to unequip it and fight with my other weapons.
Oh, also before that, I sold the throwing spears from the Tribal Pack in my effort to pay Chet the caps needed for him to supply gear for Goodsprings. I decided to buy back the spears afterward and the Magic Spear worked again.
I resold the spears again after that and it still worked after that both in and out of combat, in VATS and without VATS. I checked with the other mods I have installed (Pretty much Project Nevada and the Yukichigai Unofficial Patch), did the same stuff again, but it only happened just that one time. Weird huh?
That said, this weapon may as well be considered a cheat item as it makes Hardcore Mode easy with its non-existant weight, let alone the infinite supply of spears you can throw, but I like it all the same as I mainly use it for fun.
It should be leaning against the main support in Victor's Shack, it might not be there if you visited the Shack prior to activating the mod, or use something else that adds an item there.
Heh, you should model this thing after Gungnir, after the spear of the Norse God Odin. It was pretty much a golden spear that would always hit its desired target, even if it meant that the spear would travel half-way across the world to do so, and upon striking its target, it instantly reappeared in the wielder's hand. Would make for a pretty good 'God Weapon' in its own right.
