    You should boost the power even higher imho. The energy weapon users that don't have wild wasteland have it easy. The YCS/186 does much higer base damage, ammo for it doesn't weigh half as much and is cheaper, the gun comes near full condition for just killing one guy, it has only 10 less critical damage than the Anti-Material rifle, VATs attacks with it cost 25 less than the AM, and finally, has a mediocre strength requirement of only 5. Only upside to the AM is that it can shoot more than once before reloading. But it should only take one shot to kill mostly everything anyhow, and the YCS/186 can do that easily.

    I'm downloading this not because I feel the AMR is too weak, but because x5 mult makes more sense. A real .50 cal match grade round creates an entry cavity that is wider in diameter than the width of the human body, for about 1/4 of a second before it contracts. I've seen men actually hit with these rounds in Iraq, and trust me, it's unlike any other type of gunshot wound. This weapon doesn't make holes...it blows apart whatever it hits. It makes men into legs. It punches through engine blocks like they aren't even there and THEN splatters the driver.
    Point being, the vanilla AMR seems very efficient for that first shot that is a sneak-attack crit, but on very hard (why arent you all playing on very hard?) this is not enough to bring down a stronger deathclaw, and shots fired after the sneak attack do...precisely dick. Its those subsequent shots that I think are in need of fixing, because whether the deathclaw sees you there or not the fricken round is still gonna hit with the same devastating force. x5 is perfectly understandable imo.

    Why are people complaining it's a "cheat" and "too powerful"?
    Simple, just don't use it then -.-'

    I for one love the mod and think it fixes a 'flawed' weapon, since as pointed, without this tweak normal sniper rifles are better.
    Now I can use my massive gun and get the gratifying feeling of splattering some ones brain all over the ground

    dont know where youre problem with the vanilla anti-mat rifle is... i can 1-hit kill deathclaws and 2 or 3-hit kill the legendary deathclaw....

    and no im NOT playing on easy -.-

    just throwing this out there, i didn't improve the gun in any way other than critical chance and critical damage. it still fires very slowly, has rare costly ammunition and weighs 20 pounds. on top of all that it has a deal of scope sway even with 100 guns if you don't meet the high 8 str req. finally, the gun still isn't actually a one hit kill machine on very hard, and this may be an opinion, but if you're playing a critical based guns character, you better be playing on very hard if you want anything resembling a challenge.

    which brings up the point that i'm just making an overpowered play-style more overpowered. well that may be so, but this isn't a critical sniper re-balance mod, it's a mod to bring the anti-material rifle to the same level of performance that an average sniper rifle for a critical based character, of which i feel receive the most benefit from sniping. those guns players who are not critical based will receive minimal benefit from this mod.

    Of course this is all opinion, so take this as you will.

    I don't see y this should be considered as a cheat...

    Just compare sniper- with materiel-rifle.

    I mean y shall I carry a gun which weights 4 times more and uses ammo which costs at least twice as much (not to forget the weight of it, 2) if I doesn't get anything better?

    Indeed, to kill a Deathclaw with one shot is a exagerated. But I didn't seen this often. Had it 2 or 3 times out of ca. 20 deathclaw kills in general as yet (have 70 on guns and 7 on luck atm).

    If you really want to balance it then you have to reduce the values for the sniper rifle as well. But what would be a game w/o an uber-weapon for the "special moments"?

    I mean if it's to easy for ya then simply don't use it
    Also you don't have to put 100 points into guns, right?

    I think the real problem is the power of sniper rifles, instead of the anti material. They are just unreasonably broken with current sneak crit system. You are simply making the game more broken instead of fixing the current problem.

    Isn't it kinda cheat?? I already one sneak-kill every Deathclaw, with t his mod it's like everythibng becomes so easy

    At first: great mod. Thx

    I was a bit disappointed about the vanilla rifle, too, as I finally got it and wanted to hunt down some Deathclaws with it. This mod changes it to exactly THAT I was waiting for. Imo it's strength is already good balanced by it's heavy weight.

    And now with the better criticals I have at least a reason to carry it around with me instead of letting it oxidize in some gun-locker.

    I think that the anti material rifle was already balanced becouse imho the anti material rifle is ideal for a standard non luck sniper, if a luck sniper use a x5 crit anti material rifle i think that is just too powerfull
