the gore is pretty cheesy, its like you are some kid breaking his plastic action figure toys apart, but its even more boring to just shoot them dead without anything exploding.
Disagree, it's much more realistic. If you want to play at shooting things that are alive, you want the shots to look as real as possible. You don't want limbs to fly off. You don't want heads to explode. It's ridiculous.
I have nothing against gore in games but in New Vegas it's just a tad over the top. I mean, shooting someone with a tiny pistol and that resulting in the head exploding or an arm flying off is just bizarre. Unfortunately this mod doesn't work the way I want it to. If it was related to the ammo you use it would be much better because I still want explosions to dismember bodies.
Unfortunately it seems that this mod also inhibits the vaporizing, incinerating and gooifying effects as well. Which really are not anywhere nearly as graphic as the dismemberment since the NPCs disappear in a blinding display of visual effects. Since I have a high LCK/CRIT character and the ability from More Perks to turn ashes into energy ammo it makes this mod a hinderence rather than a help. I wonder if you can correct this so it only reduces dismemberment and not the effects that turn enemies into ash piles?

ie: 0%, 10%, 50%, ....100% chance of gore/explosions
