I think the effects are too short. Maybe 24 hours will be better?

Sixty or seventy years would be even better. Like, until dementia kicks in. I read something interesting, I don't forget it. Ever.

Yep as I feared. It is most likely the game itself that is bugged. I had the same problems with my house mod. Will await patches and FVNEdit updates then

Well, there's not much I can do.

I've changed absolutely nothing in that area you describe, and I don't get the cash there either. I've checked in GECK to see if there are any possible issues and there are none that I can see. Moreover, I've added no extra interiors or anything besides those magazines and an occasional table to put them on.

At this point, New Vegas can be inconsistently unstable with pretty much any mod activated. Moreover, if you're using the d3d fix, for example, or something else unofficial, there can be conflicts as well. I can only hope additional patches make things more mod-friendly.

    Hi

Your mod causes CTD's for me.

When I'm entering certain areas of the map the game crashes, specifically if I head SW of Nipton Pit Stop towards the airplane. I'm fairly certain it isn't a mod conflict.

    - It crashes when your mod is the only one activated
    - It crashes when it is first in the load order
    - It crashes when it is last in the load order
    - I'm using a merged patch with FVNEdit

Hope you are able to sort it

Bah, just had to download it -again- because it says I didn't download it already.

Despite the fact that, as it downloads now, it is OVERWRITING the file already on my computer with the SAME file. Meh. It's alright, though. I can dig it.

This mod is definitely worth the effort.

Also, folks, please be sure to endorse this if you liked it. It's the only way I know if I'm doing things right.

Haha, alright. Everyone goes home happy, then. The main reason why I didn't make the magazines marathon affairs, though, is because they're rather common items and if they lasted too long they'd just act like permanent skill boosts.

Regardless, I was just working on vol. 2 of this mod, and I implemented a greasy tabloid magazine of sorts (you know, those black and white 'weekly world news' types) that gives you the Wild Wasteland perk for two days.

...oh well then I will just do it myself. Thanks for your mod anyway (I gave it my endorsment). I am using it along with with my mod (my mod makes the existing magazines a little more immersive).

    See it here:

I changed the effects of magazines from seconds to game days. Howver each magazine also now has weight and each magazine has a chance to give you negative effects.

For example the magazine for boxing has a chance to physically hurt your arms and agility for an equal amount of time of the positive effects (a few days).

The idea being that many magazines articles are often deadline induced plagiarism that is only semi useful information at best and can be detrimental as much as it might be helpful.

So it is a little game of "is it worth the risk?"
Hey were in Vegas anyway right?
