1) If you can't move at all after using the jetpack, Un-equip the jetpack (important), go to options>controls, and reset your key bindings for forward, backward, left, right, jump, and sneak. This will restore your movement as the jetpack unbinds those keys while flying, then resets them when you land. Sometimes the game will crash, or people will save (or die) while flying and those keys don't get reset properly.
2) No you can't use your xbox controller with the jetpack!
3) If the jetpack won't work and you have flamer fuel then NVSE most likely isn't installed, or isn't installed properly.
I've been heavily modding this & I've come across a bug, I fly through solid objects, is there way to turn clipping back on, it could just be the way I've edited the file, I've pretty much turned it into a fuctional jump & fly while hold Y/Space with control/keyboard, but I do have spacebar my xpadder which might be why that works, but this pretty much doesn't mean it's controller supported.
The fuel has been changed to FlamerAmmoRobot, a Test Ammo, which I've renamed to Fusion Core, I've Edit the Hud Txt To say Core:%100, the mod gives you Fusion Core(100) Weight 0, & Uses 50% every sec, so you get one burst upward & then another, at which point I scripted additem FlamerAmmoRobot 100 1, which reboosts it back to 100 mid air to keep flying, I've upped gamesettings fjumping to 96 vs default 64 for extra 50% jump height before the scriptwait 15 applies, so you get your jump in before the jetpack activates if hold Y/Space otherwise it's a normal jump if letting go of Y/Space.
I'm going to upload the mod, so everyone can test it out, sometimes the b3flames graphics bugs, might just be due ot me constantly editing the file on the same save file, which way I fixed it by removing the mod saving & adding the mod back.
I consider the pretty much an Alpha Version, if that makes any sense, I'll post the nexus link next post.
This mod is awesome, I just had 10 minutes of euphoria flying around DC (I'm using TTW) exploding cars down there with an infinite ammo grenade launcher, and had a blast!
I am working on a full fledged quest mod with my own worldspace, quests, hell even a new radio! Do I have permission to pick this Jetpack mod and edit as I see fit, so it can be obtained as a quest reward and used to fly around a map with flying in mind?
I am thinking of editing the pip-boy icon, changing every sound effect, maybe going to edit the Jetpack model in Nifscope as well to fit the lore of my quest mod with logos and stuff. If I also learn how, I will also fix any existing bugs!
I will 100% credit the mod author! Am I allowed to do this?
You're probably better off messaging them directly or trying to find them on a discord server -- this mod hasn't seen an update since 2010 and I don't think the author's been very active since 2013..
When the jetpack is equipped the controls forward, back, left, right, jump, and sneak will be unbound.
Make a backup of your 'FalloutPrefs.ini' before using this MOD and you should be OK if you exit the game with the jetpack equipped.
Currently, there is mixed opinions about whether or not lStewieAl's Tweaks is compatible with Controller Support NVSE, I'm not sure about all of lStewieAl's Tweaks settings but it works fine with the settings I'm using.
With my 'Controller Support.ini' to start flying press RS and DPAD_LEFT at the same time.
I really wish this mod worked, it is so ambitious and cool. I got to use the jetpack for about a minute, but it crashed my game and kept crashing it whenever I tried to launch it again.
Mod appears to be working just fine now, I guess it just really didn't like REPCON Test Site. I have to say, there really is nothing quite like soaring into the skies over a group of raiders, Enclave or Legion and raining 25mm HE down on them with impunity. The rapid fuel consumption definitely balances things out, especially with the Mobile Truck Base competing for fuel. Thank you for this mod.
You should definitely make a jetpack attachment for the power armor like in F4. I would download and endorse this in a heart beat. If you needed any help lemme know, I'm a modder myself and I will do the best I can to make the jetpack attachment a reality.
