ABOUT THIS MOD:

I've always interpreted critical hits as finding and exploiting a weakness in an opponent's armor as opposed to a more powerful impact. Why would a projectile suddenly hit with significantly greater force than other projectiles fired from the same weapon? With that in mind I created this mod which causes a critical hit caused by a ballistic weapon to reduce a target's DT by 15. At this time this is in addition to a critical hit's current effect. Note that this results in devastating crits.

If I get a few requests to reduce the damage itself from the critical hits I will do so. I am also considering giving the different guns differing values of DT reduction.

If someone wants me to make a version that doesn't reduce the DT quite so much I will do so.

Since this is a WIP the only affected weapons are the ones available to the player and companions. Robot ballistic weapons, turrets, and other such weapons do not currently reduce DT.

I'll say it again. As this mod stands, it's brutally powerful.

As the mod stands right now it's quite overpowered. Be prepared to be killed by one crit from an enemy.

The DT reduction may be cumulative. I don't know how to check for that. If someone else knows how to do so, let me know, please.

INCOMPATIBILITIES & SAVED GAME WARNINGS:

Always make sure that you backup your existing savegame before use.

Any mod that adds an effect to the critical slot in the GECK will conflict, as will any mod that creates a "ReduceDT" or "ReduceDamThres" entry in the effects section of the GECK.
