The USMC Ka-Bar is still in use today. In respect to the comment that the blade is uneven... http://www.usmcstore.com/images/Ka-Bar/Ka-bar.gif That is how the blade looks.
As for the tan handle / and its use as a bayonet that would be the OKC3S Bayonet. (seen here http://images.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/ontario/images/ON6504.jpg)
I fully support this mod. It is well made model and textured very well.
r4y30n: On the note of historical facts, the Marines may still use KA-BARS but now they have desert tan rubber grips instead of the old hardened leather.
Are you in the USMC infantry? If not, I question on what basis you could make such a claim. There's always a lot of misinformation going around about what equipment military personnel actually use. When I was in, we used two different brands (Ka-bar and camillus) but both had the blackened metal and the leather-washer grip, just like the original. I can't think of any good reason why the USMC would change the traditional design that made it the most famous combat knife in the world. It wouldn't be THAT knife, anymore. And furthermore, there's not even a good reason to switch out the leather grip for rubber, anyway. Unless it was to save money, right?
"I love how 99% of all mods for f:nv are all made by people who do not know the history or even contain basic knowledge of the weapons they create."
What do you expect when the Bethesda doesn't even realize that a 44 magnum cannot be fired (or that the cylinder cannot even be closed at all) with a speed-loader jammed into the cylinder? I can't even think of a way to explain away a mistake of that magnitude.
"Now this, which is obvious that the military still uses them..."
The MARINES still use them. This is the official fighting knife of the USMC, and it has been since World War II. Any other US military forces that issue them are doing it in a strictly "unofficial" manner.
But the description is not the fault of the author. That comes straight from wikipedia.
"The blade is incredibly off. Unless they made a model with a oddly shaped, and a uneven heavy blade. "
The blade looks fine to me, and I carried one for 6 years in the marines. It's a lot closer to right than most the weapons in these games are.
FlyingHigh10000000: Seems like it is another mod that is not working with my mod. Try to disable some other mods to see if it works. Chet should be selling it after you have installed the mod.
Any idea how long it takes for Chet to get the knife? I've gone through a couple game days with the mod activated, and it still hasn't appeared in his inventory. I have a few other mods that make Chet sell stuff, but it all appears, except the knife.

On a seperate note, would it be possible to get this as a replacer mod for the vanilla combat knife?

Someone made a 50cal that took 7.55mm ammo I believe... funny.
