   There should be an ability with the bayonet when you press x it toggles the bayonet equipped rifle into a melee weapon. If you want to use it as a gun press x again

   Use it for a special melee attack in vats. A swipe and a stab or something along those lines maybe?

   I wish there was a way to put modded weapons in level lists so some NCR troops could spawn with this and some wont.

   Heheh, I found these files and the aperture sighted ones just the other night. Does this mod align the bayonet properly? Couldn't tell from the screenshots.

    this bayonet serves no purpose other than being on the gun. Answered my own question there.
