I wanted this mod to remove Veronica's goddamn hood without the mod specifically designed to do that forcing her fugly default face on me. But, as soon as I clicked on her, everything froze. There was a message "E) to exit," in white lettering, but, since everything was frozen, the "E" key didn't do anything. Clicking on the message likewise did nothing (I still had control of my cursor). I tried exiting to the main menu, whereupon I CTD'd.
Veronica is the biggest pain. She persists on using her melee weapon and it keeps respawning in her inventory. Any solutions for this? Another mod? I don't use GECK.

Hi, I found the respawning weapons problem, for sirtrippsalot and anyone else who can't wait for him to fix it and doesn't mind using the GECK.
The weapon respawning code is in the VNPCFollowersQuestSCRIPT from lines 111 to 164, and also in FortEquipmentConfiscationQuestScript from lines 27-50, 47-69, 100-123 and 144-155. Obsidian seems to be real insistant that companions keep their damn weapons. Strip out those pieces of code and it should work fine.
If you don't want to mess with code, an alternative method (safer but less elegant) is to find and empty out the following form lists - NVVeronicaWeapons, NVRaulWeapons, NVCassWeapons, NVRexWeapons, NVEDEWeapons, NVArcadeWeapons, NVBooneWeapons, NVLilyWeapons. To prevent the script from constantly firing to add 0 weapons to companion's inventories because they own 0 of 0 items in the list, you might be advised to add a single AmmoCompanion to each of the form lists, after wiping them.
mrsndmn's solution won't work, since the weapons are re-added via script. MightyMonarch's method probably works but has a bigger mod-footprint and will potentially cause other problems, especially if used alongside other mods.
Don't expect you'll pop in and read this almost two years after posting, but putting it out there anyway. This seems to be working for me. Thanks for posting the info.
can anyone tell me where exacly to find these weapon lists in a state I can actually alter them? I can open the GECK, but then what? I can find some entries referring the companion weapons, but I cannot save any changes I make in the edit window...
