Really enjoying it. I don't know if you have any control over this, but the sights are way below where the gun actually shoots for me, usually if I aim at nuts I get a pretty good headshot.
Silenced revlolvers are indeed a possibility. The russian Nagant 1895 was issued in a silenced version up into the cold war era to federal agents of the soviet union. Developed by belgian Emile Nagant in tsar-istic russia, the weapon featured a revolutionary gas seal, that would press the chamber against the barrel each time a shot was fired, eliminating the possibility of gasses escaping the shooting mechanism. With the gas efficiency of an automatic pistol, the addition of a silencer was a real possibility. The small caliber (6,7mm) made it quite weak though. The bullet would pierce the target rather than penetrating it from the inside.
Well, it's actually possible to make a revolver that seals the gap when firing, and there is an actual historical example of one that seals the gap and is thus possible to silence: the Nagant. In fact, IIRC there are two different revolver models that can be silenced.
The downside is that it needs high precision machining (hence it's expensive) and it's a pain to reload.
And soon after they made it, other people started making semi-automatics which are a lot cheaper to make in a way that is possible to silence. So practically nobody bothered ever since.
Personally, i love the versatility of the roleplay options given with this gun. However, the muzzle flash (and some of the noise) escapes from the revolving barrel of a revolver upon firing, not just the barrel. Hence if you position your hand in the wrong place you can blow your fingers off using a revolver
