Another two years and this will be a decade-long conversation.

I had a similar idea but added the stealth effect to the MKII suit in OWB instead. Also made it milder (not moving & not in combat) to not make the Stealth Boy obsolete. IMO, this model of the chinese suit is older than the one in Anchorage so it isn't very lore friendly having this effect.

wait, it worked after unequipping additional apparel with the suit, like hats, glasses, etc. reequipping the additional apparel still makes it work

Two suits of Chinese stealth armor can be found on the office level of Hoover Dam. They are located in a storage room with some radioactive barrels, in a wooden crate to the left as the player enters the room

That's just where it was included Vanilla.. This simply takes that vanilla stealth suit and "fixes" a stealth field onto it.

Wouldn't call this a fix, it was intentionally left out.

In a way: yes... But this is the "Fixed" Chinese stealth armour, as FO:NV ones are damaged and couldn't maintain a stealth field.

      So this is a fix.

Amazing! I wanted to put this effect on the OWB assassin suit and thanks to you it is now done! I am not going to upload it. I pretty much copy/pasted what you had done.

How did you find out how to do it in the first place?

    Going to endorse asap. =)

Noticed a bug: when stealth field turns on, game lags for a second. Nothing too bad, but I'd love to see that gone. Fallout 3 didn't have this problem. I assume it happens because the game doesn't have enter/exit stealth field effect, like fallout 3 did. I could try to fix that in GECK myself, any idea what should I do? Or maybe I could just port something from Fallout 3?

    ---------------------
Okay, went through the resources and saw that Obsidian cut out the original effect, and you had to use Stealth Boy effect instead. And same lag happens when you activate Stealth Boys. Alright... Can I port the original effect from Fallout 3 then?

    ---------------------
I see its yet *another* Obsidian bug: in Fallout 3, on activation of Stealth Field/Stealth Boys, there isn't even a slight lag. So porting won't help, I need to deal with the source of a lag, whatever it is. Okay, guess that isn't for this thread already. Thanks for the great mod.
