-Original FO3 Weapons Pack v1.14-

1/15/2011: *I WILL NOT BE RELEASING ANY FURTHER UPDATES AT THIS TIME* I'm working two jobs and taking 12 cr/hours in college, and will not have time for modding or gaming for the foreseeable future. You are welcome to use these data as a basis for your own fix/rebalance/tweaks or to include this mod in a compilation or cumulative mod of your own. All I ask is that you give me credit where due, and take a moment to PM me with a link to your mod's page on Nexus or elsewhere so that I might enjoy it too, whenever I finally have the time. Thank you!

{{{ Compatible with Lord Darius13's Iron Sighted NIFs, which can be downloaded here:http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36571 }}}

While I was digging through New Vegas's .bsa files right after I installed it, I found the textures, nifs, sounds, etc for many of the original FO3 weapons, yet they weren't ever found in New Vegas!

Upon digging a little more through the .esm, I found vestiges of these weapons (empty repair lists, etc) but no actual weapon ID's.

So, I figured people'd like to see them, so here they are!

The weapons that have been added:

Assault Rifle - xx714327
Chinese Assault Rifle - xx714326
Chinese Pistol - xx714325
.32 Revolver (Now the .357 Holdup) -xx714329
Combat Shotgun -xx714328

*new for v1.14!*
Chinese Officer's Sword -xx714352
Infiltrator - xx714351

12ga Double Barrel(No sound on reload in 1st person, still a WIP - it's not there in the LVLI lists and you wont find them on NPC's but you can add it via console using xx714350)

Now, the way these weapons mixed with original New Vegas weapons made me change them up a little bit - I didn't want two weapons being nearly identical.

Specs:

Assault Rifle - 5.56mm, 24 round mags, 7.0lbs, base dmg 14 per shot (auto, so this is pretty effective), 1250 caps. tier 3 weapon.

Chinese Assault Rifle - 5.56mm, 30 round mags, 6.0lbs, base dmg 18 per shot (auto again - very effective), 1800 caps, tier 3 weapon.

Chinese Pistol - 10mm, 10 round mag, 2.0lbs, base dmg 18 per shot, 350 caps. tier 1 weapon.

.32 Revolver (.357 Holdup)- .357, 5-shot cylinder, 1.0lbs, base dmg 17 per shot, 100 caps. tier 1 weapon.

Combat Shotgun - 20ga, 12 round drum, 7.0lbs, base dmg 52/7, 2200 caps, teir 4 weapon.

Chinese Officers Sword - Melee, 3.0lbs, 35dmg/80dps, 350 caps, tier 2 melee

Infiltrator - 5.56, 30 round mag, 6.5lbs, base dmg 22 per shot (auto, but slower rate) 5750 caps, unique/rare weapon (repaired w/assault rifles)

12ga Double Barrel - 12ga, 2rounds (duh? LOL) base dmg 65/7, 1750 caps - not integrated into LVLI, FLST, or NPC usage, still a WIP.

Why is the Combat Shotgun 20 gauge? Why is the .32 revolver now a '.357 Holdup'?

Simple - I felt this was a good way to balance them out with existing guns in-game and not essentially be duplicates of the same thing - Riot Shotgun vs Combat Shotgun, etc.
The weakest revolver in the game is also still pretty powerful so I felt this was a good balance.

What does that Teir stuff mean?

I've laboriously added all of these weapons to various LVLI and FLST lists in-game, so they will be found on random enemies.
Teir 1 means early game, Teir 3 & 4 you won't see them until later on.
I also took the time to make entirely new WEAP and REPR entries so that this will 100% avoid any conflicts with any weapon mods - so long as those weapon mods only
modify weapons and do not modify the LVLI/FLST lists. If the LVLI/FLST lists are modified in another mod, there may be conflict.

I have also added these to the appropriate perk FLST lists so that all of the weapons work with the appropriate perks. They can also
be snuck into casinos depending on your sneak skill - the tiny .357 snubby can get in just like the silenced .22 though, figured its small enough.
The Professional perk works w/the Infiltrator, making it the most powerful weapon affected by that perk. Let me know if it's a bit too much!

To give some idea on where these weapons might be seen:
The Chinese Pistol and .357 Holdup might be found with thugs, powder gangers, and mixed wastelanders of various stripes.
The Chinese Assault Rifle will be found on some Super Mutants, beefy raider types, and occassionally Legion troops.
The NCR soldiers will sometimes carry Assault rifles instead of Service Rifles, mercs and some other wasters will also have them.
The Combat Shotgun can be found in the hands of some Fiends and some various Mercs.
The Chinese officer sword will be found in the hands of various non-legion, not mutie NPC's.
The Infiltrator, as a rare/unique weapon, is found only at one vendor's private stash, and in the hands of one particular Fiend.

All non unique/rare weapons can be found for sale in various vendor chests, to include the Gun Runners.

Note for v1.14 the 12ga Double Barrel can only be used by adding via console w/xx714350, because there is no sound on the reload animation, so it's in a WIP state right now.

INSTALLATION:

Simply unpack the .esp and drop it into your Fallout New Vegas\Data folder. Use the launcher of your choice to enable the .esp, and off you go!

Uninstall by unchecking the .esp in the launch list, or simply delete it from your data folder.

LEGAL STUFF:

No textures or models or the like are present in this .esp - it simply utilizes these resources as they are found hiding in the data installed by Fallout:New Vegas.
I laboriously re-did each weapon starting from existing weapons in Fallout:New Vegas.
I've playtested them so I think they're pretty close, but the rumble settings, firing cycle, etc. might be a bit clunky compared to FO3 since I cannot use
any FO3 resources for reference without worrying about legal stuff.

If you want to cut/paste the exact WEAP data from a FO3 install I am powerless to stop you, I just beg you not to do that and upload it for sharing.

NOTES:

Questions? Comments? Suggestions? Let me know!!!

If you're going to just tell me that this mod sucks, or that it's unbalanced or crappy or I did the LVLI lists all wrong, or that my mother dresses me funny, or any other stuff like that, just do us both a favor and keep it to yourself.

Constructive, thoughtful criticism is welcomed and appreciated, though. Note - THOUGHTFUL and CONSTRUCTIVE. Thanks :)

*I have only playtested this for a few hours!!!*
*If you encounter any gameplay issues please let me know!*

As I was about to upload this, I discovered that billybob721 found the same textures in the .bsa's and beat me to the punch by a day - damn!

Mine includes the full LVLI & FLST integration, NPC usage, and the Chinese pistol. I mean, seriously, who wants to miss out on the Chinese Pistol? >_

Enjoy!

Jeff/Wreckless1

PS feel free to use this with other mods, just please show me a little love - I've spent a lot of time on this thing!

Changelog:

V1.0 - initial release

V1.1 - A few tweaks were made to the firing animation speeds on the Combat Shotgun, Chinese Pistol, and .357 holdout (.32 pistol) The DAM is unchanged but the DPS values will be higher as a result.
Fixed the settings on the handgrip position of the Combat Shotgun as to look less terrible when looking down the sights.

v1.12 - Fixed the Chinese pistol to be able to fire all variants of 10mm ammo, not just normal 10mm. No other changes. Thanks Sativa420 for making me aware of this problem!

v1.14 - Chinese Officer Sword, Infiltrator added and integrated, 12ga Double Barrel added but NOT integrated. Cowboy guns perk now works properly with 357 Holdup.
