    So I've been fairly inactive for a long time. There really shouldn't be a reason to use this as most if not all mod managers include this functionality by default now.

    I honestly forgot this was even a thing, its been what 10 years? I honestly can't offer any help. I am sorry.

    I use Mod Organizer without issue but I know Vortex has it to via SETTINGS> WORKAROUNDS> ACTIVATE BSA REDIRECTION

    Vortex user here. You guys are real bastards, you know that? Would it have killed any of you to mention that the Enable/Disable function was in the god damned DASHBOARD?! I have spent half the day trying to figure out why some mods were not working. I even installed FOMM but that couldn't find the New Vegas directory.

      Need help. I mixed up this mod with GuitarSage125's mod oF the same name and now the game just crashes at startup even though I have the Anti-Crash Mod installed.

    for some reason after doing a fresh reinstall of newvegas this patcher no longer works as in it keeps giving me this error.

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.
    For example:
    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>
    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    though i did found someone who had the same problem on reddit unfortunately the one who posted it didn't bother trying to tell on how he did it.

    27.08.2021 - Still working fine.
    Best option to activate Archive Invalidation, launch once, activate and done. No need to deactivate when installing new texture mods.

    Explanation for people who are having problems:
    Install it with Mod Manager of choice or manually. Go to your Fallout New Vegas folder, open Data folder, Fallout New Vegas ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!.exe should be located there if you installed it correctly.

    Launch it and wait for a "warning" that application was unable to locate Fallout_default.ini - if you got the warning it means that mod works fine, you just need to find location of your Fallout_default.ini file. It's located in Fallout New Vegas folder. After that, window from mod should pop up, click activate and close the app. That's it, never need to play with it again (unless you reinstall the game ofc).

    THIS PART IS IMPORTANT - probably the reason why this mod isn't working for you!
    It's possible that application won't give you the warning about Fallout_default.ini not being located. It means that it's not working as it should.
    In that case, move the Fallout New Vegas ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!.exe to a different folder or different drive and launch it. For example, if you launched it from Fallout New Vegas folder and got no warning, try launching it from desktop, or If you launched it from Local Disk C, try doing it from Local Disk D/E etc.
    Launch it and it should give you the warning now, just locate fallout_default.ini, activate mod and move the .exe back to Fallout New Vegas Data folder.
    If that method is not working for you then I'm Sorry. I am unable to help you.

    Hope it helps.

    EDIT: Glad it works for some of you!

      Did you install the mod correctly?
      After the instalation files should be located in the Data folder, which is inside of main Fallout New Vegas folder.

      This was so helpful, I had no idea how to get texture mods to work, am using Wrye Bash and everyone was saying that you don't need to change anything and that it does it automatically etc... but downloading this mod and following your instructions have finally made it work, thank you so much!

      Anyone wondering, do as is stated here. Download mod, extract to Data folder, when opening it will ask you to manually find the .ini, do so; run the launcher and it works! No need to tinker with other mod managers after this, my Wrye Bash still has Redirect BSA ticked and I still have a ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa file in my Data folder but this mod application works!

    If anyone has problems afterwards here's my solution :
    "SArchiveList=Vortex - BSA Redirection.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout- Textures.dss, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa,  Fallout - Misc.bsa"
    C/P in the fallout.ini and the fallout.bake files and finally run the falloutnv.exe in administration and never touch the launcher otherwise it will erase the edits.

      Vortex has its own Archive Invalidation! I don't use this mod BUT I do recommend using Vortex. In Vortex go to Settings then Workarounds then Archive Invalidation then check the enabler. It will then appear as "Vortex Archive Invalidation" under your Mods where you can enable and Disable when installing mods that require BSA Archive Invalidation.
      Cheers!

    Ok, for anyone who can't get the mod managers to work, remember the Fallout_Default.ini is IN THE SAME FOLDER AS FALLOUTNV.EXE, I know I'm just retarded but I have fought with this s#*! over the course of damn near several years and multiple modding attempts just to realize that's what I forgot to do.
