I disagree, that name is a staple and makes it stand out a bit more, to me anyway. It didn't do that before, so when I loaded this mod up last time I thought I had done something wrong to convert it into some generic weapon, I only recently read it while reinstalling to find out that the mod creator changed it because of personal preferences.
As a player of fallout 1 and 2, the .223 pistol was literally something I carried with me at all times. Even if I got better weaponry, I'd still occasionally switch to the .223 pistol just for the satisfying sound. The fact is that it had the stopping power and range of a freaking RIFLE. On New Vegas, when I acquired the "That Gun" ( .223 pistol ), after repairing it to full durability at a vendor, and comparing it's stats... It had lower damage than a freaking unmodded 10mm Pistol. I immediately was angry and promptly searched for mods to fix not only the completely ridiculously poor appearance of the gun, but it's stats as well. To those that say it's 'overpowered', look at what the gun is SUPPOSED to be in it's actual past versions before you say something is overpowered. The fact it uses service rifle parts to get repaired is realistic since IT'S A RIFLE CUT DOWN INTO A PISTOL. Although... a hunting rifle or varmint rifle would have been more logical. Oh well. Splitting hairs there.
I edited your esp to have the gun use the 12mm bullets. I wanted it to use the 14mm just to have something useful for that caliber, but I couldn't see the drop-down option in FNVEdit. Would you be willing to make some variants to make the gun truly unique and useful?
