Awesome! I really need this for Wasteland Defense. I hate the scavengers' crappy clothing and the guards' leather. Im surprised the creator didn't put in the option to change gear like RTS. Testing it shortly. Ta

Due to the bugs, this is of no use to me, but it is kind of like one of the things I'd have liked to see in FO3 & NV. IIRC, FO1 & 2 at least had barter screens for most people you encountered - you could sometimes trade small pieces of rubbish you had managed to pick up with a passing tribal for some healing item or a handful of ammo they had, or even a weapon (trading several lbs of low-value scrap for one useless but higher valued lower-weight item was a great boon at times).

Is that perhaps an option? Could you make it a trade screen (which solves the technical stealing-for-free issue too?)?

@ Mazdek - "Sure, some will use this to cheat I suppose, but I use it to equip random strangers with armor and weapons most of the time." I KNOW there are some NPC's in this game that I just felt I wanted to give something nicer to wear, or something more suitable... not to mention the 'I just want to m ake this snotty character look a fool'-thing anyway, so I'd love to trade my silly outfit for theier official one! LOL

Good try with this mod, but far to broken for me to DL.

I'm loving this, characters that take themselves too seriously may find themselves walking around nude after talking to me.
    Thanks.

I'd love it if it could be made into a weapon effect to so it can be used on people with no dialogue options. That would avoid the problem of messing with dialogue in the first place.

Sure, some will use this to cheat I suppose, but I use it to equip random strangers with armor and weapons most of the time. The rest of the time is just to change people out of their wastelander rags into pre-war clothing or at least vault-suits.

Could you just remove the option completely from the problem NPCs?

It also does it with Yes Man at the very end of a certain path.

Hi. As a work around, would it be possible to tie this script to a weapon affect? Similar to how that "nude ray" mod works? You shoot an NPC and it is compelled to show you their inventory? Or, compelled to start a special "Show me your inventory" conversation?

That damn fade to black is driving me nuts, and what's worse is that it can interfere with more quests. So I don't know if I should take the file down or just adding a big fat warning on the page.

For the moment I will add the warning because someone may want to use it in non serious playthroughs/testing. If I receive complaints I will take it down.

Specifically, if you choose to, ahem, quality check Fisto before sending him along to the Garrets, he gets stuck on the dialog option.

Benny also has some fade to black options, and I know it happens at least once or twice for other reasons with other NPCs, just can't remember specific ones at the moment.

    OK, I'm investigating those NPCs.

EDIT: The take a walk topic works here. I'm not sure why it doesn't work in your version.
I dont remember who fades to black, so if you can tell me the name and the quest of the NPCs it happens to I would be very grateful.
