This mod is simply GREAT. These last two days I've dedicated my time to finding a mod that deals with the reputation and faction reset "bug" than playing the game. And now I have found it. By getting naked and afterwards equipping the IFF, I don't have to worry at all about what am I wearing, and about de-equipping/re-equipping different faction armors.
the rep changes ifu got rep and u werent wearing a faction armour when u put on faction armour ur rep is reset because they see u as a member of them and not the courier if u then take off ur faction armour ur rep will change back to what it was before u were wearing faction armour.
Okay I left a comment about it not working before but I should have just moved it to the bottom of my load order. When I did, it worked like a charm, something else was stepping on it apparently.
I don't know what to tell you I've checked it in-game and other then the messages my reputation was perfectly fine (and not fluctuating).
I re/de-equipped Caesar's armor several (like 10+) times and was consistently villified with them in all states (an my other reputations stayed the same as well, merely liked or whatever), the Ranger Armor would be no different. Did it with several different pieces/factions and it was always the same.
Are you sure you're not just seeing the faction changes the first time you do it? Because that would be normal and would be you seeing your actual reputation, not disguise reputation (which is another reason I don't like the disguise system).
nope, it was my first mod and I double checked it. No matter what I do, whenever I de-equip the ranger veteran armor I get the pop-up and the other issue, too.
Yea the messages aren't fully gone - I'm aware of that, I'm thinking the quest that runs the messages is re-activating when you re-load somehow. I'll eventually get around to fixing it but it's not high on my to-do list and may not be possible without having another quest running to constantly manage and check for it which is not something I want to do, considering it would be an unnecessary use of CPU time for something rather inconsequential.
As to the other issue I'll look into it, but off the top of my head there is no way that can be happening, since having either item equipped/in inventory completely blocks the scripts that have to do with faction and reputation from even running. Are you running any other mods that may be messing with the armor?
