Just finished a 50-hour, stable playthrough with 86 mods, this being one of them.
I did not expect the new sounds to go as hard as they did. They go hard. It might sound a little loud at first but it's definitely more realistic, and it's something you get used to. Love how this one sound mod stands the test of time, one that many other New Vegas mods don't.
I know I'm probably too late for the person I'm replying to, but the best way to do stuff like this is to download the mod you want to update, and just start exploring how it works. Open folders, find where everything is, then start figuring out how to go farther than that. Google file extensions, ask around, etc.
There seems to be a problem with the Hunting Rifle reload sound (the bolt action). The sound is very loud and grating. It's very noticeable when an NPC uses the gun, like Boone. Maybe it's conflicting with another mod, but i can't seem to find the specific sound file anywhere to troubleshoot.
Ah, so this is where i found the badass brush gun sound effect i've had years ago. Grabbin' it again, mixing it up with another, more complete sound overhaul that sadly has a wimpy brush gun sound amongst all the other decent effects!
I've used your mod for years and it's still by far my favorite weapons sound mod. I recommend it to seasoned players and those just starting out in Fallout. Thank you for your incredible work, it is appreciated.
Gun shot sounds are so much louder now, it is a little deafening. Pretty fucking awesome Thanks for the mod. I would recommend anyone using this mod to download EVE, because otherwise your explosives will feel like a whimper compared to your new gun sounds.
I just wanted to say thanks for making the ONLY gunfire sound overhaul mod I've found so far that doesn't conflict with WRP, WMX and EVE. My guns can now sound less pathetic than an elderly gentleman gently coughing in the middle of an opera house due to your efforts. That is to say, they sound amazing and still work with my other mods (as far as I can tell for the time being through minor testing). Thank you, you are awesome, your work is awesome, etc.
