call me crazy, but i think this version of 4gb patching works better than the new and "improved" ones, i can't get near 2.8gb of ram usage with the new versions without immediately crashing after going over the threshold of something like 2,7 after some stress testing, this version can hold over 2.8 gb of ram usage with no issues!
i'm using simple open freeside and strip, and the route that other 4gb patches can't handle without crashing is walking from inside the atomic wangler to inside gomorrah and go back inside to the wangler, it will always crash doing this since all these interior and exterior transitions eat a lot of ram and the game has to keep dumping it all to keep up, but with this one? no problem, actually kept going in and out multiple places and it held strong
i know its just anecdotal evidence but anyone else with crashing when going in or out of heavy places should try switching to this one, make sure to restore the exe to default to be able to use this one to its full potential
Hi and sorry if i may ask a stupid qustion, when i put the 4gb patcher into my file (both of them) it said invalidexe i am using a gog version (i hate my self) and i really don't know what to do any more.
I'm having a problem, every time i try to execute the file it says "The sistem couldn't locate the specified file" (this was translated from my language). Idk if i'm doing the installation wrong, i have tried putting all files into the game folder, into a different folder in another place and directly opening the .exe file from winrar and it always gives me the same answear.
