Is it possible to run both this and NVSE at the same time using this patch? At the moment I have to run New Vegas with the nvse_loader.exe and I can't run it and this patch at the same time?
Place this launcher's files in the game's install folder. Put all of NVSE's files in the same place. When you run this launcher it will detect that NVSE is present and start NVSE before starting the game.
Note that this game launcher requires a 64-bit version of Windows, and only works with a legal (not pirated) version of the game.
If you have trouble getting it working, here is a link to instructions:
What do you do if you don't have a steam version? My Fallout NV location is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout New Vegas" Can someone wright up an guide for this? If so you will have my greatest gratitude.
Hi, Here is how I got 4GB and NVSE to launch together. 1) Put both the 4GB files and the NVSE files into the directory as your FalloutNV.exe and FalloutNVLauncher.exe live. for me this dir is: D:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas
2) rename the real FalloutNV.exe to FalloutNVorig.exe
3) create a shortcut for fnv4gb.exe in the same directory set the target of the shortcut to: ":\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\fnv4gb.exe" -exe ":\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\FalloutNVorig.exe" -SteamAppID 22380 -laaexe ".\FalloutNV.exe
4) when you click the shortcut fnv4gb patches falloutNVorig.exe and creates a 4GB enabled exe I named to FalloutNV.exe (I figured this might trick the nvse_loader to run the patched fallout executable)
When I click the shortcut a patched version of the exe is created and nvse_loader seems to load it since I called this patched exe FalloutNV.exe
I am not sure if my logic worked out by luck, or coincidence or something, I just know i have 4GB and nvse running now.
If this helps you please let me know! (So I can bask in the warm glow of helping someone. LOL)
That is more complicated than it needs to be, but if it works for you then great.
All you really have to do (in your case) is place the FNV4GB files and the NVSE files in the game's install directory, then run FNV4GB.exe directly or via a simple shortcut.
On my old install everything worked fine, but on my new install I couldn't get it working despite hours of troubleshooting. Your instructions were literally the only thing that solved my issues. Thank you so much for posting!
i can't get them to both work at the same time. if the 4gb launcher works, instead of saying there is already an instance of fallout new vegas running, i'll type getnvseversion and i get unknown command. how do i fix it?
When you have NVSE and run the game through nv4gb, go into console and type getnvseversion. If it says unknown command, it's not working, otherwise, nvse is fully compatible with this.

ENB is a shader enhancer and as far as I know doesn't need NVSE support
