About this mod

Gives you the option of weakening or removing the sneak attack modifier.

Permissions and credits
There are some Fallout New Vegas mods which increase damage and/or lower health. I find this makes sneak damage overpowered. In this mod, I try to balance that out.
If sneaks attacks never made any sense to you, or you want stealth killing to be a little more difficult, then this is a good mod for you, even if you don't have one of the types of mods I mentioned.

Sneak attacks are always critical hits, but with even more bonus damage. In this mod, I modify the sneak attack multipliers. There are three versions for this mod, they are as follows:

No Sneak Attack makes sneak attack criticals do 2x base damage, which is just regular non-sneak critical hit damage.

The Half Sneak Attack version does more damage than that. Here, I lower sneak attacks to half the default multipliers. So, ranged is 3x instead of 4x, and melee is 5x instead of 10x. Before you question my math, this version halves the sneak attack damage modifier, not the end damage. If I were to halve the end damage of ranged sneak attacks, it would just be a regular critical strike. That's what the No Sneak Attack file is for.

The No Ranged Sneak Attack version removes the damage multiplier for ranged attacks only. Sneak attack criticals for ranged are 2x base damage, while sneak attack criticals for melee attacks remain at the default 10x.

Requests for other variations are always welcome if near the sphere of reason.

Important notes:
This .esp will not mess with any saved games.
If you have reason to believe that this mod is incompatible with a mod you use, follow these steps:
1. Open the New Vegas G.E.C.K
2. Load the .esp of the mod that may have a conflict with mine.
3. On the top menu thing, go to Gameplay.
4. Go to settings.
5. On the filter, type in: fCombatDamageBonus (capitalization doesn't matter)
6. You should see two things, fCombatDamageBonusMeleeSneakingMulti (the value should be 5. If it is 5, then it is compatible with all versions. If it is 2.5, then it is compatible with the Half Sneak Attack. If it is 1, then it is compatible with the No Sneak Attack. For fCombatDamageBonusSneakingMulti, 2 is compatable with both, while 1.5 for Half Sneak Attack, and 1 for No Sneak Attack and No Ranged Sneak Attack.
7. If you wish to run both mods, change the values in the other mod accordingly, but this means that you don't even need to load mine. If the values are already the same, you don't need to load my mod either.
