    This house mod was always way, way ahead of its time.

    Here's what this does that other house mods wouldn't learn to do for a decade:

    * Minimal impact on the world outside of the house, choosing a very out of the way location that's unlikely to be touched by other mods;
    * Complete and modern nav-meshing, inside and out (I still can't get over this);
    * Expertly done clutter that's on par with modern housing mods;
    * No gimmicks, just well designed (leave the container handling to Eddoursul's Stash Organizer);
    * No oversized textures or overcomplicated meshes to cause memory corruption, just in-game assets used really well;
    * Actually well-written and lore friendly, with good grammar (I can't get over this, either);
    * A nice little mystery and story contained within the home that doesn't touch hundreds of locations across the Mojave;
    * All containers are carefully handled unique containers, which means that if you have a mod that changes original containers (such as to add reset flags) this one won't conflict and will behave properly;
    * Did I mention how good the clutter is?

    This could actually be re-released in 2022, as it is right now, and you would not know it isn't a modern mod. If only all house mods of the time were this impressive. I've had to drop so many due to nav-mesh issues, bugs, gimmicks that don't work right, bad textures/meshes, nasty world edits, and just plastering things all over Vegas to reduce compatibility (looking at you Afterschool Special/New Bison Steve).

    Frankly, this is so good I'd recommend it for Qolore's Viva New Vegas guide. Suffice it to say—one of my favourite player home mods when it launched, one of my favourite player home mods today.

    Edit: Had to add the thing about containers. The more I look at this mod from 2010, the more a.) I'm convinced it was developed by a time traveller, and b.) that it should be used to teach modders how to create new areas for the game.

      I haven't touched this in well over a decade (I feel old now, thanks) and coming back to see all the awesome comments was a treasure. New Vegas itself remains such an amazing game even after all these years.

      I'm doing a replay of New Vegas now with my partner so of course this is in the mix.

      Really, how did you get to be this good at modding? Are you actually a game developer? Is it an autistic special interest thing (said as an autistic person, myself, so I'm familiar with that)? Perfectionism? A combination of the above?

      Seriously, this continues to impress me. I wish there were more home mods like this one.

    I found this mod on accident, but man am I glad I did! I was looking through my download history for the Small Underwater Hideout mod. I saw it was deleted and clicked your profile. Saw this mod and decided to give it a try. I cannot believe you created this treasure so long ago, commentor below hits every point. Above all, its simple, lore friendly, and doesn't break my computer when it loads up. Thank you for adding to my FNV experience!

    Absolutely awesome little cozy shelter. It would be perfect if positioned somewhere deeper in the Mojave, instead of the safe Goodsprings. Recommended, and kudos to the author!

    Beautiful house mod. I love the post-apocalyptic feel of a hidey hole in an unused sewer, and it has everything I could ask for. Also, bug free as far as I can tell

    Use same place as "Beyond the Border" mod.
    Use same place as "Moles Well" mod.

    Some spots are just to atractiv.
    Its strange as mods tend to agregate on the same spot.
    Must be the frontal lob....

    This looks like a good house mod but I never seen a bathroom so I'm assuming the metal bucket next to the bedroll in the last screenshot is where you do your business. Maybe add some reading material on the trunk next to the bucket, maybe a home & bunker magazine or a wasteland guide to self help book. Other than no bathroom this looks pretty good has a very wasteland feel to it.
