Updated for New Vegas Day! If I bump into y'all at the event at the Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings, drop a line here!
New version contains support for all the DLC's — I recommend this be used as the base layer as a "catch-all" for other texture packs that can override this one. After all these years, there's still the random gun here and there that's missing a better world texture even with all the other HD replacers out now!
Stay tuned for a future flamethrower mod based on a real life one!
EDIT: for more context, I was the flamethrower guy with the huge 100ft flamethower on the side of the hill
Any chance you'll cover the Fallout 3 weapons too? Their textures are already in the game files and they're used by a lot of New Vegas mods. The textures are in: dlc03, dlc04, dlc05, dlcanch and dlcpitt. Also, welcome back to modding.
Thanks! Yup, planning to do this soon to add TTW support—need to do some manual checks to make sure I get it right and don't add any unnecessary duplicates.
That tweak can break some things. Example: Securitrons mistakenly have a first person model set for their Missile Launchers. With that tweak it causes them to run around with Missile Launchers clipping through their arms. YUP does technically fix this, but if any mod conflicts with it, you will have that strange thing happen.
I believe Stewie's Tweaks works for NPC weapons as they hold them, not for weapons you may find on the ground or that they drop, etc.
I could be mistaken, but I believe that's what that does. Also this helps on some potato computers which can't handle the meshes as much, but don't struggle with textures. This is usually a VRAM size issue and affects FPS less iirc, which this helps as a very lightweight HD texture pack.
Also for a bit more of a personal reason, my friends experiencing this game for the first time want to have the most vanilla possible experience and this is the closest to that I can provide on their less powerful rigs.
I have never commented on a post ever, but here's my first: I downloaded this on 7/8/2022 at 5:49am my time and after almost 12 years, you uploaded a new version at 6:54am. I'm actually lol'ing.

Sometimes I get a bit too perfectionist lol
