I loooooove this mod!!! It's so easy to have a custom character with it, as it's just a matter of swapping body, hand, and face textures/meshes with copy and paste. But I just cant figure out how to change the head meshes... can anyone help with this? Otherwise FANTASTIC, thank you!
How did you swap face textures? I got the body tex working but couldn't do anything with the face.
EDIT: I got everything working. Hope this will save someone else's time:
+ PINK HANDS/PURPLE HANDS: copy all the files that end with "_1st" to your CustomRace\CustomPlayer\... along with the ones without "1st". Copy everything!
+ REUSE ORIGINAL FACE: ++ Find the tool "FaceGen Save Face Ripper for FNVEdit". It should be at newvegas/mods/35769 on nexus. ++ The default preset settings of "Custom Race" in the in-game racemenu matters. A lot. ++ You must use FNVEdit to set the preset values to all zeros, like this 00 00 00... before overwriting the new face with the FaceGen tool.
I successfully got a face built on a different mod over to "Custom Race" and it looked exactly the same.
Would it be possible to make a raptor or dog race with this mod? Because dog with guns like a dog walking on 3 legs with 1 leg pointing a gun also being a raptor with guns would be pretty cool to.
Hello, could anyone advise me on how to incorporate zzjay's face textures into this mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55174) . or is there an alternative custom race mod that will allow it?
I don't know if you still check this mod but I was wondering if it's possible to install this but delete the meshes only? I wanna keep my Robert's body mod but just replace the player character textures for his skin.

I installed the mod through MO2 if that helps.
Find these three files here Data\Textures\CustomRace\CustomPlayer\(male/female)
handfemale
handfemale_n
handfemale_sk
Make a copy of these 3 dds files on your desktop and rename then to what is shown below:
handfemale_1st
handfemale_1st_n
handfemale_1st_sk
This worked for me after way to long messing with it.
