Just want to say to the uploader, Thanks for posting this! I use these managers for all of my Beth games and have never had a problem. For those of you that can't figure out how to make this work, here's a quick overview. 1-Unzip the file and place the folder somewhere on the same drive that your game is on. 2-Go into the folder and start the program. 3-Create a new profile and name it after your character. 4-Change the play-button to start whatever program you wish. I have mine to start my script extender loader. 5-Go into the default game save folder and CUT AND PASTE your saves into the new named profile folder you've created. 6-Exit out of everything, start the manager and press play! Some people have reported problems with Steam and I don't have an answer for you. I run Steam in offline mode before starting any of my Beth games and have never had a problem. If you still can't figure it out, then yeah, perhaps you shouldn't use this program. But it does work and it works well.
Anyway you can make it so that it launches it via the scrip extender?
That would make it worthwhile, since I am sure a lot of us use the scrip extender.
Thanks for the hard work regardless.
Go to Advanced >> Change play-button link and you can set the Save Manager to run any program you like.
And, to anyone who thinks this is a useless tool for not writing to fallout_default.ini, you can use the run without launcher method (which you can find here on the nexus) in much the same way, which will get the program working as intended.
It might make the program a bit more complicated to use, but I can understand why the author of the tool might have a problem with overwritting the file. In my experience, overwritting a default file of this nature is asking to be blamed for every problem that some people have with their installation, even if your program is in no way responsible.
Using FalloutNVLauncher.exe, which is the default way it's done, will overwrite the setting my program changes. This can't be helped so your gonna have to launch the game some other way.
Well that kind of defeats the purpose then, doesn't it? Why don't you fix it so that the savegame manager works then? I tried setting it to launch the FalloutNV.exe instead of the launcher, but it still just brings up the launcher. I'll check back again now and then to see if the issue is fixed, because I would really like to use the save game manager, but until it's fixed, I keep having to move my saves around manually, which is a bit of a pain.

My game is still loading saves from the default folder. I've tried scanning, and the program created profiles accordingly, but it is still showing all saves. Any help?
Yeah, same problem. All this does is copy all my saves to folders specific for each character. But it leaves all my saves in default, and doesn't switch to an active profile, so when I run the game, it has all my saves for all characters there. Basically, all it does its double the amount of space my saves take up, since it copies them. Since I have over 4 gigs of save data, now I have more than 8 gigs taken up, and getting low on disk space. heh.
If this would actually work, it would be great, and here's hoping it gets fixed.

Is it because I have installed on a different drive than C? Hope author still reads these, lol.
