Not sure if I'm @ the correct space for my question but I'll keep it breif. I'm running the latest ver of FONV UED, NMM with nvse_2_beta12. After starting up and running a few times I found out about fnv4gb_nvse and decided to give it a try.
It does seem to make a difference, performance wise  (I'm using >60 mods) but I encountered one problem that I'm uncertain what the cause is : I can't quit the game, when I attempt to do so FNV just locks-up and I must kill fnv4gb.exe process to return to the Win. DT. Is this some kind of path problem with the  fnv4gb.exe file or something else?

This looks like a really cool idea ! unfortunately when I run it nothing happens. Cant access the game anymore and same thing when I remove .bat file from folder. I am running a retail Uk version of FNV .Please someone help!!!!!
edit: its ok ! I removed the .bat file and the game runs with just the curiosity of Bella running away backwards permanently! NVEdit tutorial here I come

You're doing it wrong. Follow the instructions - launch FalloutNV.exe. As someone said earlier, the in-game Steam Community is activated, and as that is a prerequisite for NVSE to launch, there should be no reason for it to not work that way.

I wonder if this can be adapted for Oblivion?

this would be great to use with NVSE but it doesn't work :/

    I'm trying this:

    set SteamAppID=22380
    nvse_loader.exe

A good idea to run the game without the Launcher. After all you don't really need to rely on the Launcher to play.

As soon as a mod manager gets released, then we'll only need something like this to start up the game and render the launcher moot.

be back in 3 hours to endorse.

There is an issue with this .bat as it activates Steam Community in-game even if the option is disabled in game properties.

This is a good idea, I like it =]

    Steam shouldn't be so bothersome.
I wouldn't mind if it replaced the ini in every update but it was ridiculous.

I like the idea of running the game without the launcher, but there has got to be away to get rid of STEAM.
After 3 months of headaches I was able to disable it for FEAR2. Tried the same tweek for FalloutNV but it didn't work.
If I am (or soome one) not able to disable STEAM I will not play the game, I will however take it out and use it for target practice.
STEAM is a POS, it has security issues and always has had them, I don't like it, I don't want it on my PC's and I refuse to deal with any product that uses it.
But I really like the no launcher idea. Once I get this to run with out STEAM, I will give this a try.
And to answer everyones question. NO i have not played NV yet because I will not play anything that runs on STEAM.

There really isn't anything wrong with steam and I have no issues with it
*eyes my 200+ steam games and I will continue to buy from them and play games with my 300ish steam friends*
