Whatever this mod does (x4 damage, I think?) it seems to be working well for me. I'm not too far in but at least relatively unarmoured opponents seem to be going down with 1 or 2 head shots (geckos, Powder Gangers, Vipers and Jackals). It also helps to a degree with armoured targets although there is still an issue because the armour you're wearing still protects your head even if you don't have a helmet. (Project Nevada apparently addresses this.)
I checked it out in FNVEdit. Vanilla headshots have a Multiplier of 2. This mod makes it 4. So twice the bang for your buck.
He increased multipliers by various amounts for other NPCs and Creatures as well.
It makes a big difference especially since I play on Hard difficulty with a combat rebalance mod. A very nice balance, for me anyway.
The -Realistic Headshots- mod made the game too easy for me. Its multiplier values are super high. Although it has more creatures listed if you feel like tweaking the mod in FNVEdit. That is if you have the patience for editing tons of values.
Sorry, i can't tell you where in GECK are those settings, cuz i was using TESsnip editor, to modify the data (included in FOMM), and, i personally don't have much time to start making my own mods. At this moment im using "New Vegas Realistic Battle and Dynamic Combat Mod" http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34921 It pretty much does add the realism i was seeking for the game.
yeah i got the same question as shuazoid, how is it actually done? i know you didn't make the mod, but if you knew that would be great. If not, exactly how much does your mod increase headshots by? I noticed nobody asked b4.. Good work though. It's just i've scoured the settings and stuff in the geck for anything, but I just can't find it. Also is this global? Does it effect the PC too?
Both FNVEdit and Wyre Flash complain about the header, so it is impossible to check for any conflicts right now. So in order as not to lose any modifications by other plugins I'd recommend loading this one first, so all other ones can overwrite it.
Besides that it does a nice job in combination with "FWE-Style damage tweaks" (http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35351)
If the problem with the header gets fixed, I'll certainly endorse

I tried the "Realistic headshot" mod and wasn't too happy with my enemies dropping like flies.
Perhaps you could upload multiple versions of the mod, like
2x Dmg to head, 3x, 4x, 5x, etc.
THANKS!!
