Bottled Water 2.6 is here! ------------------------------------ ° Project Nevada Compatibility patch added for users of the Rebalance feature. ° Small tweaks to the installer coding to fix a few minor issues.
I wanted to ask about the compability part. > So until then, the Bottlecaps addon will conflict with any other plugin that alters the following
What type of altering do you mean? Texture replacers would be okay, I assume. What about model replacers for bottles and animation mods like those: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61762 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61311 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66633
Also I hope that CAM won't break it too: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50817 Edit: NVM about the CAM, it's broken without outside help anyway
Well, it's okay than. Simply don't use Project Nevada's tampering in levels and hardcore mod for me. JSawyer Ulitmate won't affect it too. Thanks for the answer.
This only affects the bottlecaps parts. The rest of the mod works fine no matter what other mods edit. Except custom bottles or water sources. My mod won't reconize those.
I am unfamiliar with that mod, but my guess is that it modified water sources in some way, or perhaps uses a script or perk that triggers when you use water sources and it is taking priority over this mod. This is all a guess. If you can change load order, try loading this mod after Fate of the Wanderer and see if that helps.
Any chance that NVSE could be used to make refilling work at places like lakes or ponds? It's a really a shame though, since otherwise, the mod is fantastic.
Dude, I have been using your mod since many months now, and developed my mod for HardCore to have many bottles from drinks, and I now want to add empty wine/vodka/beer bottles, and wondered could I add those to your system, to be able to fill them at taps ? Because I'm sure my empty bottles won't be recognized by the hidden perk you made in your mod.
Amazing mod, my only advice would be upon bottling water let is ask how much you want to bottle just for convenience. Honestly this mod is practically perfect it even works with ttw.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoy it and that you haven't had any issues with TTW. I've yet to install TTW, so never got to check for issues. As for options in the menu, I actually used to give a choice of how many to fill. Stuff like 1, 5, 10, All and a choice of which bottles to fill (Milk, soda, ect..) However, many people didn't like the abundance of choices, so when I made the new hidden perk version, I kept it simple, lol. That, and perk popup menus are basic 2-choice systems, so I was forced to stay simple, or start scripting multiple sub menus. Which I could see getting bothersome at times.
Simple, small, immersive and clean... Works just like the ones I use for FO3 and 4, and above all, it works with mod-added watersources! *much endorsed*
Hi! Thanks for this mod. Of all the "bottled water" mods here, this is my favourite ! Great job. Just one thing : there is a little "bug" with the FOMOD : we have to choose wich "bottlecap plugin" to use. But we can't choose "no plugin" because the fomod force to choose one. It's nothing because we just have to uncheck the plugin in mod list so don't worry ;) I just change the fomod for me and myself with a fomod creation tool and translate the esp into my language and voila. My "moding cleanliness freak" side is now very happy and the world is beautiful XD Thanks again !
The ability to bottle water is a hidden perk system, so it should be compatible with all vanilla water sources (not including bodies of water. Never got that working). The Bottlecap addon that gives you a bottle cap and empty bottle when you drink items may be incompatible, as that adds a script directly to the item, since the perk system didn't work with them. If Dust edits the drinks, then the bottlecap addon will conflict. But that's why I keep it a seperate esp file.
It works fine with Dust but Dust disabled most of water sources and with this mod, you can normally use them to fill the bottles, even with purified water, just like in vanilla game. It's up to you whether you consider it "cheating".
Hi ! Does this work in dc with tale of two wasteland installed ? It would be great ! And also, since I'm not an english nspeaker + I'm not a pro at modding can someone tell me if the bottelecaps esp will work with after war nevada innstalled ? https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55455/
I'm not sure if it works or not with Tale of Two Wastelands. It depends if the DC area uses the same water sources as New Vegas or not.
bottlecaps.esp is incompatible with any other mod that alters drinks. If After War Nevada changes the default drinks any, there will be a conflict
You can try this mod out and see if it works. Even if it doesn't work with Tale of Two Wastelands or After War Nevada, you can uninstall it after and it won't break anything
