I currently have a character that uses an AMR and I have VATS %s maxed out so this mod is fantastic for taking out those pesky Deathclaws and Albino Radscorpions before they see me. I've been trying to figure out how to do this myself. Pray tell what did you edit to achieve this? (I'm building my own personal "tweak mod" and would love to add this to it).
The stock range for VATS in FNV is rubbish I use a 2 Handed Rifle with silencer and scope and even when I get at least 30% for a chest shot it still misses, I may give this a try
If VATS accuracy and range is increased, then the accuracy for everyone else has to match or the game will get even easier. I do agree the current VATS for guns is fairly useless except at close to point-blank ranges (even with an Agility of 10).
There are many factors though, such as the SPECIAL skills are not being handled properly. Perhaps this mod will help?
can you tweak VATS to reduce playback speed ? In my opinion we don't need you to customize the percentage to hit base to the range since we can acquire the target far enough and our chance to hit base on the skill we had, FAIR enough.
Yeah, it's pretty complicated to tweak VATS to work better at long range, either that or I have no idea what I'm doing. (Probably a little of both. :p)

I too am not real happy with the vats range in FNV. Beyond not too far a range it seems useless and it would be great to have the option of using it besides oh s*** in close encounters.
As has been noted above though unless the odds of hitting at range are increased it would have little merit. I notice if something I use VATS on is say more than 50 feet away hit odds are WAY low, so low it isn't worth using VATS. (Speaking of default game here not your mod). As a result I don't bother with VATS much unless they are very close.
It would be worth testing any tweaking you do with the range percentage chance hit to compare a character with and without the perks that increase odds to hit with single hand weapons and the other one for weapons like rifles. Commando Perk I think is the latter one. Might be good to test any tweakage you do like that so as to not make the mod overly powerful for those that use those perks.
