Here are the extended details of the various configuration options.

  • Set Recall Point Here: Allows you to set a personal custom recall point to anywhere in the game that you’d normally be able to use the Transportalponder! at. Set one at your favorite player house, a reliable merchant, or just wherever the hell you want.
    • Recall points cannot be set in interiors or any other location where the Transportalponder! would not function normally.
    • Recall points cannot be set in The Fort, with the exception of Auto-Recall or Automatic Mode, which will instead set the recall point to the entrance of The Fort.
  • Auto-Recall: With Auto-Recall set, any time the Transportalponder! is used to teleport, your recall point will be set to whatever location you teleported from. With this, you could teleport to The Sink or some other destination, then whenever you’ve completed your business there, you can teleport back to your recall point and resume your wasteland adventures from wherever you were in the first place.
  • Automatic Mode: In Automatic Mode, the full destination list will not be shown. Instead, firing the Transportalponder! will automatically send you to The Sink (if you’re in the wasteland) or your recall point (if you’re in Big MT). Auto-Recall is forced ON in automatic mode, so whenever you’re done at The Sink, you’ll be sent back to wherever you were in the wasteland.
  • Destination List: Select from three options to determine how many destinations are available:
    • Default: The default loadout with over 70 destinations in both wastelands and their DLC.
    • All: Adds even more destinations, bringing the total to over 100!
    • Reduced: For a simpler and more balanced experience. The DLC menus are removed, and the total destination list is brought down to about 20 or so for the two wastelands combined.
  • Allow Companions: By default this is turned on, allowing your companions to travel with you whenever you use the Transportalponder!. You can turn this off to revert to vanilla behavior, requiring you to fire all companions before the Transportalponder! can be used.
  • Ammo Type Required: If set, requires use of one of three energy ammo types for each usage of the Transportalponder!.
    • None (default): No ammo is required to use.
    • E.Cell: Requires Energy Cells to use.
    • MFC: Requires Microfusion Cells to use.
    • ECP: Requires Electron Charge Packs to use.
  • Ammo Amount Required: Defines how much of the above ammo type will be consumed on each teleport. In-game you can configure this value from 0 to 100; higher values can be set in the INI file if desired.
    • If “None” is set for the ammo type and/or this value is set to 0, teleports will be free.
  • Cooldown Time (Game Hrs): Sets a cooldown time for the Transportalponder!, requiring it to recharge between uses. In-game you can configure this value from 0 to 72; higher values can be set in the INI file if desired.
    • Teleportation to The Sink will not trigger the cooldown, allowing you to complete your business there (drop off gear, use the personality constructs, etc) and quickly return to the wasteland without having to wait for a cooldown.
    • Teleportation from Big MT to anywhere, or from a wasteland destination to another wasteland destination, will trigger the cooldown.

You can find a more comprehensive list of Transportalponder! options in the INI file. By saving the file and loading a saved game, you will find that your settings will have applied to the game automatically.

Additionally, all configuration changes made in-game are automatically saved to the INI file, and persist between save games.
