    I saw the 1.01 version on the vault and upgraded my copy.  Just add traps.  
    What you've got now is a level ~14 arena for testing builds.

    I ran three quick engagements just to get the hang of the system. Lots of potential.
    Only thing I had trouble with was finding the darn LTs and getting them to hold still long enough for their orders. Maybe put a feather on their hats or give them a guideon to carry just for easier spotting.

    I used the same PC from tDU and already had the widgets set up. It took me a bit to realize they weren't needed.

    If I have time this weekend, I'll play with this a bit just to get the feel of the new system.

    The command widgets aren't really used in the demo here, instead you just talk directly to the squad leaders. For the next module, I haven't decided exactly how to handle things. The widgets where good because they could be stuck into the quickbar, but seemed not to provide enough feedback for players to use effectively. A custom GUI is probably the way to go, but the main reason I'm using the squad system is to keep players from trying to micro-manage their squads - I released tDU originally with the widgets unused, for that reason.

    Will you still be using the command widgets or does this do away with them?

    An absolute game-changer. Takes a bit to get used to, especially LT's who won't stand still long enough for you to give them an order (particularly if they're trying to hold your flank, you run up to talk,and "your flank" has now changed), BUT, I ordered skirmishers to find the enemy, with a unit of heavy swordsmen hiding in ambush. When the skirmishers routed, the ambushers chopped their pursuers in half as they came by.

    That's more generalship than you get out of the Total War series.
