Could you PLEASE tell me what music you used for the bard's song in the first town? I'm in love with that music, I'd love to find it somewhere. Thanks in advance!
The song is one of my favorites from the Storm of Zehir expansion, under the label 'NX2 - Tavern, Sword Coast Vocal' for the area's Sound->Daytime/Nighttime music.
I recently played some of this adventure, and I never did finish it. The story was interesting, the plot points were well-structured, the areas and effects beautiful, the music perfect... it seems like it could be a best-of-the-best series of adventures with a little work. The points holding it back (at least as far as I played/remember) are two cardinal mistakes: 1) The writing tells the adventurer exactly what they think and how to think it, which is very alienating when neither roleplay nor personal feelings match that of the author. 2) The writing itself feels... off, distracting from the rest of the adventure rather than drawing one into the story. Most conversations are back-and-forth one-liners of awkward cadence, and have plentiful use of uncommon and fancy words that don't belong. Specifically, it feels as if they were found in a thesaurus and used for variety without a good feel for their usage. More simply, the text may have been more engaging if a little less thought were put into it, making it more natural... reach exceeding grasp and all that.
As I said earlier, if those two things aren't bothersome to a player they'll probably greatly enjoy this series. It's obvious that a lot of effort went into producing it (all the environments and polymorph effects and such, with nothing appearing broken) and everyone should at least try it; there will be a few who find a new favorite.
Hi everyone, I'm considering one final update for this mod; if major issues are still present then those will be attended by subupdates prior. Anyone have any observations or suggestions, in any spectrum? Thanks.
The Beta phase for the finale, 'Nihil Trilogy III: Light At Journey's End' has started. Anyone who wants to help test it, please take a look at latest entry on the Neverwinter 2 Forums at: http://forum.bioware.com/topic/476103-upcoming-module-nihil-trilogy-3-light-at-journeys-end/page-3
As for the large quantity of exclamation points, I admit it's poor grammar/punctuation on my part; being your own editor causes some oversights, especially with an over abundance of text. Thanks again.
A quick update, I'm still working on that last module for the Nihil Trilogy, Light at Journey's End. I estimate I will be able to conduct the beta test for that mod late this fall season. For those who are curious, I occasionally post screen-shots and some tidbits of that mod on the Neverwinter 2 forum, so look there if interested. Until then.
There is a sequel !? Not only I will be able to play another module of grand gameplay quality but I can continue the story of this one.... It's like Christmass!
I've played some more of this module from the last time I posted here,.. it is still AMAZING.

That is high phrase indeed, and I thank you, Deylendor. If time allows you may also wish to play the sequel called Nihil Trilogy II: Chains of Misfortune, which is also available on this Nexus. Thanks again.
