    Long time player of NwN2 and the various mods out there. Found North Of the Moonsea a couple of years back and finally loaded it into the game. Now I am getting a crash when getting the gatestone from the chest. After getting the item that was need to access the chest, when I open chest and loot all, the game goes to load page and hangs. Then I get the NwN 2 is not responding message and shuts down. Not sure if this forum still gets viewers but hoping someone can help.

    I cant get this to run
    It keeps saying the files may be corrupt or you used a tool set that was to new or something

    I ran into a number of issue although (surprisingly) none affected the plot or my ability to finish the module.

    Overall, it felt a little rushed. Starting at first level to saving the world at eighth seemed a bit too pat in this instance. It might have made more sense with a higher level set of characters but as it was, critical plot elements worked and you can't say that about every module.

    Issues:

    1. No bear. I looked all over the dragonspine area but he never showed. I did choose to go to the Ride first so this may have been a point where the plots diverge. If so, ignore. Also in the dragonspine area, the leader of the dwarven miners would not update after I rescued all nine of the miners. He repeated the same speech about our rescue plan as when we'd previously met so that quest never closed. Resting after I emerged from the mine made no difference.

    2. Nit - too much spawning. Orcs should not appear on the spot I've just walked over. That happened twice in the dragonspine.

    3. Bug - Several items (weapons, armor, etc. have wrong or missing properties compared to OC gear. Missing or incorrect hak? I'm sorry I didn't keep a list.

    4. Bug - Kline store (in the dockyards) kept crashing when is store mode. I tried to access it at different points in the game but it always crashed before I had a chance to view beyond the armor tab.

    5. Minor bug - When I tell Trayne about his sister, I get a message "Local variable on PC 'treana' = 1"

    6. Minor bug - Chest with the amulet will give additional amulets.

    7. Issue: If you leave the tower of the wizard Alero after he tells you to go rest, you can't reenter.You have to rest inside, and then talk to him to continue.

    8. Issue: Module does not check the gender of the character. My female PC was referred to as 'he' in a couple of conversations which tends to break the immersion.

    9. Issue: Sword "Na'atue Avay" - Text description does not have anything to do with the weapon's properties.

    10. Issue: Second floor of final tower (Soul encounter) is still labeled 'level 1' on the maps. May be confusing to players.

    11. Steelhand's weapons shop was not functional at the end. I had not tried it earlier. Only one merchant near Alero's tower was functional.

    12. Avelle's shop was not functional during the epilogue. It had worked before.

    So it needs a lot of polish but I've seen worse first attempts. Kept at it. You've got potential.

      Finished this one. Pretty solid overall, fairly balanced most of the time. Canonic lore. Recommend.

      Bugs #3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12 confirmed as are several other minor ones. No biggie for me.

    Thanks for playing it Elliot! And thanks for the bug list. I have heard one other person report the 'Boss Fight' bug but it worked correctly on a reload of a saved game.


    A couple of bugs, but overall I like it. Nice job, especially on Jenna, who comes across very well.

    * The fight against the main villain ends with him 'badly injured' rather than dead. I can't interact with him at all anymore, and the game acts like he was killed. I presume he is supposed to be weaker as Jenna rejects him?

    * If the game actually ends (I am back in Melraunt) I'm not sure how. There's no end screen or anything to tell me I'm done, even though the foes are all vanquished.

    * The guy running the indoor armour shop in Melraunt will only trade with me the first time I go into his shop. He ignores all attempts at communication thereafter.
