    Now that I've managed to complete this module I can give it a fair review. Its a great module and a great addition to the Tales from the Lake of Sorrows Saga, which I thoroughly recommend to anyone who loves long campaigns full of excitement, emotion, lovable characters, hate-able enemies and epic story telling. There were a few tid-bit bugs which seemed to appear in my run through of it but it seemed to be a one off because after restarting the module the story ran fine and in sync with events.
    What I am confused about is finding certain magically sealed areas and hidden tombs (in Tysan's Estate and in the passage ways underneath Thunder Bay) which were cut short or inaccessible in this module. I can only assume they appear again in the final module Vault of the Damned, still though it was interesting nonetheless to see what is in store for our main playable character.
    One weird event which happened was when Ember gave Solace the option to either leave her in Thunder Bay or tag along with her to Neverwinter, I role-played Solace into a "lone-wolf ranger with a cold matter-of-fact personality" kind of woman in dialogue options but Ember still tagged along even though her dialogue stated that she would stay in Thunder Bay to watch Reece... bug maybe? One funny thing which I noticed was Solace and Ember have the same character model with the only difference being that Solace was 6ft and Ember was 5ft tall. Is that a bug because I recall Ember being a short slender white woman with blonde/red hair? Solace seems to have tanned between modules
    Overall, despite the bugs and weird funny occurrences, I would still happily rate this module a sound 9/10 for main reasons such as great story, characters etc but what I find important was allowing us, the player, the chance to see things from Solace's viewpoint. If its possible could this be incorporated into the main campaign so the episodes flow sequentially without loading this module separately? I understand it might be difficult since you have to play a different character from your main character for events to make sense but it would be nice to play all the modules in tandem. This module definitely gets an endorsement and a vote up from me. Plus also for the mod creators rapid response to my confusion and troubles during my play run of this mod

      Thank you Gizfire, I'm glad the issues were not persistent.

      There is a thread left open in this module. I hope that one day all the content I planned for the mods gets put in. For now I'm pressing on with the next series. As a teaser there is another area planned for that locked door with two keys required. A stolen ring moral dilemma in sheep and stone and the conclusion to the orcs attacking referred to in the caravan club.

      The face change on the characters is because I added Xaltars pack in the Hak for the main campaign and I did not change the heads for this one ... my bad but I thought I had fixed that

      When did Ember stay with you? Was this when you traveled to the port town or when you got back? In truth she needs to be with you after you get back but Silas is optional. Did you take him?

      I'm guessing the sealed door in Tysans estate was in Morags secret area? I infer where that door leads in the next module but it connects to the underground tunnel beneath the tenements connecting the Tysan Estate to Mattias's house. Given how cold the Tysan bed was it casts some doubt over who is the real heir to the Tysan estate

      The door with two locks is for later as I mentioned above. the last area is the tomb of the seven sisters, hopefully you got in there? If not make sure you get in if you ever play again :0

      It was quite humorous seeing clones of different heights in your party, almost like a set of twins to combat the other evil twins Honestly its not a huge problem so I wouldn't worry about it much, besides the character models are perfectly normal in the main campaign. Ember offered me the choice when she went to go apprehend Garvin in the Tenements. I said to her I'd back her up, then once we got back she asked me if I'd prefer to go to Neverwinter on my own or with her. I said I'd rather Ember stayed to watch Reece in Thunder Bay and Ember agreed but after the conversation she was still in my party but the dialogue changed to show she wasn't present even though she was... very confusing...

      Tomb of the Seven Sisters...? Erm... I don't think I did... In fact I've never heard of it in these modules. I thought I explored just about everywhere Is that tomb inside the old Temple of the Copper Fist...?

      Yeah I had a suspicion that even Henry wasn't really the right heir but the daughter who was conceived out of wed-lock sounds like the true biological heir. Her story isn't really expanded on though, I assume she has gone into protective hiding...? Never mentioned in the epilogue or maybe I missed it.

      The entrance to the tomb is in the tunnels. It's a door with seven white buttons on it.

      It's a quite large side quest and a sad tale as well. A chance for daring and exploring should you play again in the future

      Hal Tysan's half sister is back in the family house. That is another side quest for another day If I ever revisit these. The risk from her is low now that Hal is head of the household.

    Hmm.. I'm having a spot of trouble trying to play this. When I initialise the mod and it starts to load the 28 areas, It seems my game won't load past the 20th area... and crashes all the time... not sure why... :-(

      Hello Gizfire,

      Are you sure its a crash? I don't know why but the game takes a looooooong time to load and stalls on area 20 each time.

      If it's just taking time then give it time. Go and make a cup of tea or some other such activity but git it a few minutes.

      I really don't know why this is

      If it's crashing to sesktop then i have another problem and I will look into it.

      I see you are totally right. Once it reaches area 20 to load it takes quite an unusually long time but after it loads the rest load almost instantly. Thanks mate! Hopefully this settles anyone else having this issue

      Good show Best to remember you are a ranger and have a summon-able ally. It can get a touch rough in there.

      This is probably my favorite of the modules, I hope you enjoy it.

      I hate to sound a broken record but I'm stuck or maybe bugged... without posting spoilers I'm trying to "enlighten" the tavern and I cannot for the life of me figure out what to do. I've essentially bought every item in the market and yet I cannot work out what to do.

      You need to get some lamp oil but sales are restricted to small volumes. Apparently there are arsonists about ?

      Talk to the priestess in the temple she will sell you enough oil but you will have to do her a favor first. The market seller should have told you this so I hope the plot is moving forward okay.

      Well suffice to say no-one told me that... might be a problem since I've gone round every seller I can find and no-one's dialogue changes from the standard see their stock or not see their stock. I might have hit a bug or I've messed up somewhere... :-/

      That's a shame, After you spoke with the man in question you are invited to explore the inn. After that three options should appear in your journal, fire. poison or fight. After that you need to see either the odds and sods seller in the lower market for fire who should be able to direct you to the temple, the apothecary for the poison or back to the inn where you gave over the gold for the mercenaries? Do any of those work?

      hmm... I might have to restart the module because the only event triggered was the fire option :-/ I was really enjoying the module but hey ho these things happen. If it happens again I'll let you know

    I downloaded and installed as per instructions, but it says I am missing required hak file when I try and load the module.

      I found the missing haks on the vault. Loads fine now.

    This is easily one of the best series of adventures I have been fortunate enough to experience.

    The areas are beautifully created, scripts are expertly written and employed and the story telling is beyond reproach.

    This series will make you cheer, curse and maybe even shed a tear, as you experience the events that happen to both you and your companions.

    This is what was meant when the Tool-set was envisioned.
