The writing and interactivity is pretty good but there are many, many bugs. The first chapter (undead) is fine, the 2nd chapter has non-game breaking bugs (can't purchase from two merchants, can't get symbia to challenge me and trigger the escape quest that way, can't redeem any of the sewer quests) which is quite unfortunate. By the 3rd module however the bugs can end the game, for example getting stuck in a cave and the script to escape simply doesn't work.
This module is very well done but really need a go-over for bugs.
Great module overall. That said, I'd like to point out a couple bugs I rant into in The Scythian Pits. I don't think the author is still around to fix them, but it may help others that run into the same issues:
- Symbia will only give you her brooch if you're good aligned; the conversation branch that leads to it will otherwise break abruptly. This, along with the walkthrough not making any allusions to alignments, makes me think it wasn't intentional.
- The sewer quests were a little buggy when it came to report them as completed. Make sure to actually get the quests from the priest and the guildmaster before exploring the area, as you may miss out on the rewards otherwise. And save often.
legions of the dead was very enjoyable. unfortunately I have exact same issues as the user Dain previously mentioned; unable to progress past captured walk and start Scythian Pits, and none of the modules show up in new module menu, and upon death only button that works is main menu. sigh...oh well, nothing suprises me anymore with NWN2...its quite possible i screwed up somewhere during the NWN2 "update ordeal" and thats the source of the issues.
EDIT - UPDATE: I took the plunge and completely reinstalled NWN2. I started a new game of Conan, and voila ! All buttons now work properly, and game transitioned to Scythian Pits perfectly. as suspected, the problem was my faulty game installation. I hope this helps others who experience similar wierd issues with mods.
Great campaign, not as good as the 2nd Chronicles but very good none the less. The writing is on par with some of the best in the professional game industry, not to mention the fantastic immersiveness in the careful selection of textures, models, NPC dialogue and PC dialogue. Can get a little repetitive during the arena fights, but there's plenty of interesting characters to interact with that make it enjoyable despite the slog. Would recommend everyone try this out along with it's successor.
This series is without a doubt my favorite mods for NWN2. But is there any way to import some of the gear from the mod into the main campaigns? For...krhm... roleplaying purposes...
Just finished this and I really loved it. I normally prefer party based NWN2 modules, but this is a well balanced game with great atmosphere and real choices that can and do affect the game.
I believe I've downloaded everything correctly - the module starts and I talk to Mitra, but then when I appear in the Aesir hunting camp Njall won't talk to me. He just says "Just a minute!"
Everything remains friendly, even if I attack it, and clearly there should be some sort of cutscene here that hasn't worked.
Edit: Nevermind, fixed it. I had to put the whole folder in 'campaigns' rather than leaving loose files.
Dain, if you do not see the module if you look for it on start new module, then you probably haven't downloaded it. I recommend you do a fresh download. I thought I checked the death screen and it was OK after I fixed it a few months ago. John. BTW I've probably corrected the problem where the zombie battle would sometimes break, and will upload that.
I've downloaded it and put it in the Module folder, but only the start new campaign shows up, not the individual start new module. Other mods I've downloaded are the same it seems, though not all. Not sure what my problem is. Thanks.

You've really done an excellent job, I never expected to find any Conan Chronicles on NWN2 or any mod page.
