stuck. The Master asked for some RIverwine to fetch where I drank the one and only they had in the tavern in a glorious act of RP before asked for this chore.
Had to edit the module to place another bottle in the gameworld. Just editing the tavern store and checking "infinite" on the drink then apply to all areas didn't work.
Edit: nah.. just placing another item in the gameworld and loading the savegame didn't work. This isn't The Elder Scrolls. I guess mod changes apply only on restart of the module. A shame, can't play this anymore and I certainly won't go from start all over again.
Edit2: Even loaded op the module and wrote a small script, compiled and saved copy pasted it from its module temp folder into override =============== void main() { object oPC = GetFirstPC(); CreateItemOnObject("Riverwine",oPC,1,"Riverwine",TRUE); } ================ saved as xxDyFix then ingame ##DebugMode 1 ##rs xxDyFix --- great, I have now 1 Riverwine
Edit 3: it DIN'T save my day. I got the Riverwine but there is no option to give it to the master... Master:"Do you have the wine?" Me:"No." -> the only option
BAH
Edit 4:... Ok, fixed. The resRef and Tag were "riverwine" NOT "Riverwine" ... stupid case sensitivity
Edit 5: Enemies have way to much hp. Fights are to boring and long. The positive is that you have to actual THINK about what spells you will have to prepare to overcome specific situations what makes the entire gameplay experience better than most modules offer ( I had to actualy USE something different than a magic missile spam to survive, a plus)--- until you make an small mistake like a to late used potion/item an you die and your "next" fight is nothing but a "watch your hp and wait till enemies die" situation (by "next" I mean that you are forced to reload and repeat your already planned out fights).
Dude.... after 13 years I've faced the very same problem and I was managed to fix it thanks to you. If you're reading this, please know that you are my hero!
kobalt issue do you have to fight the kobalts, is there a bug, or am I missing something. as once I got taken to the chief I'm unable to leave as either I take the main exit and the guards take me back to the chief, or I take the side one and get attecked
love the mod but there is two tricky spots that took me forever to find and no hints on internet to help so I'm fixing that now
spoilers!!!
there is three magical items you can find that help a lot while on your questing they are: the riverwizards glove which you can find in the caves by diving into a pool and fighting a lot of fungus plants the riverwizards belt which are in the swamp monster's cave recommend running, looting and running and beat the big guy later when your stronger and the riverwizards boots which you get are to a quest for a fairy, now to find the fairy you have to explore the forest around your masters tower she is in a big tree stump left of the animal barn, to complete her quest you have to show her three animals a bird (buy one at the trading port), a wolf ( just summon one might be a way to get the dog in town but I haven't found a way ), and the bear ( which is in the a cave by the river next your master's tower really easy to miss so walk next to the river and follow it until you see the cave, the bear in question is being attack by fungus so cast sleep spell on them and let the bear go to town, bear might work as a your meat shield companion while questing never tried it though) once you have shown the faire all three she will 'reward' you by umm gifting you 5 magical enchanting 'stuff' and a pair of old boots now the three items have nice enchants for low lvl wizards and they get better when you wear all three but you can trade all three items for a perk and a really kick ass staff that grows with you in power, to get it you have to row to the riverwizard's island, find the secret cave at the back of it, fight some undead and give the items to the wizard, the wizard will reward you with your pick of a perk (1 stat boost of int/agi/cha, lots of money or a feat of magic recommend saving try all the options) after rewarding you the wizard disappears but leaves another gift a item you can enchant with the 'stuff' you got from the faire from before and get your very own wizards staff I'll let you find out what it does
another note in the ogre's cavern the is two spots that look like it should lead somewhere, they don't, while searching the net for hints found the mod maker's forums and him answering questions about that... he forgot about them ^_^ also said he might go back and do a remaster's edition where he fixes that and add other content after he finishes the series and work on his other mod ideas soooo just don't worry about you missing something on that front
also the modder has finished the third and final of the wizards apprentice series: the ascendant its not loaded here though, think the modder forgot his nexus account anyway just search wizards apprentice 3 the ascendant and you should find it but play the second first its really awesome
Just finished playing through this module a little bit ago, and gotta say, beside a couple typos in the dialog here and there, the module is great. Small, but a good challenge none-the-less.
I give it a 10/10 rating. ">
*SPOILER WARNING BELOW* * * * * * * * * * * * * One question though, in the cavern with the ogre. I saw two cave openings, one blocked by a large rock (used by the ogre to get in and out) and another very small (used by kobolds and the tiny rock dragons). I anticipated that you could use the Reduce/Enlarge spells to get through, but nothing happened when I cast them on myself and tried to get through. Are they meant to be able to interacted with, or just there for eye candy? ">
Where are the boots.. and don't give me that Sendala crap.
But...Sendala was the one which gave the boots to me (after entertaining her and her pixie court with a menagerie). Gotta say, took be a bit to find the bear... XD
You know, I was thinking the same thing about the Reduce/Enlarge spells, and thought god damn I am smart lol, but it did nothing. That's too bad though. Just glad I opted to save right before I leveled up to select those 2 spells I would otherwise never use.
I guess if they were supposed to work we would see a scroll or 2 for those spells in the area.. right?
And yes I realize I am replying to a 2 year old comment, lol.

Played through it starting in the afternoon and going very late into the night. Killed every enemy and ended up close to lvl 5.
Thanks for taking the time to create this.

In the cave where you meet the ogre, there is a pool. Use it and you will swim to another cavern. I believe the gloves are there.
