Spoilers. Well. I'm pretty much stuck. In the crypt thru the portal after most of the areas I still can't free the demon. I have the book and the bowls and some skulls. I can place the bowls.
But the book says skull crystals and ammonite. I haven't seen those. And it won't let me place the ammonite.
Sorry about the spoilers. I'd appreciate any help.
ALSO: There is a PDF walkthrough available at the same download page, which tells you where to find all these items you mention. The ammonite goes in a particular bowl only.
If you are ever in the position to try again, then please contact me at the site listed here, and I will always respond to any questions and offer immediate help if (as soon as) I am around and available.
I've played a bunch of really good NWN2 campaigns. This is not one of them. There are good reasons why this has so few endorsements.
1. Buggy. Bugging out on entering first cave must be some kind of record. 2. Mechanics and changes which are simply bad and not fun at all. Eg. the need to have the map open in order for it to update. Like if we had too much space on the screen. Breaking the exploration mode, as if the camera management in NWN2 was not already bad to begin with.
Maybe it gets better over time, but the first hours are 100% pain and 0% fun. If you're wondering if you should download this, the answer is: no.
edit: I gave it another shot with latest version, but after some hours in (lvl 7) I still stand with what I wrote before: it's just not worth it. The story is decent and the puzzles are good, but all the rest is just bad. If this was a regular NWN module + puzzles it would be one of the best. Unfortunately as it is now, it's barely playable. Buggy, broken transitions, broken UI, waaaay too much unnecessary clutter, 100 different menus etc. and all of that for absolutely no reason at all. It's a perfect example where "less is more". Adding stuff doesn't make things better. I'm pretty sure I've missed half of the features simply because I have no idea how to invoke appropriate menu...
Eventually had to stop once I got stuck in area with broken transitions.
Sorry for the very late response, but I no longer monitor this site that often. Your feedback would have been welcome at the time, and I would have done what I could to address your issues immediately, but there have been too many changes since you last played to suggest which issues remain. As of today, (13 Feb 2025) very few issues remain that I am aware of. If you ever endeavour to look at my module again, then please contact me on this link: https://forum.neverwintervault.org/t/the-althea-campaign-the-scroll-updates-releases-thread/7036/1
On the note of menus, you can actually have "less" than the normal GUIs available in the OC game, by using the top left GUI. (Double click in the box to remove some until double-clicked again.) Thereafter, you only open what you need (or wish to use), as normal. (See image below.)
Also, a feat is available to allow mapping while the map is closed if that is a preference. From module two, this is automatic.
FYI: The second module is also being built, and more information can also been had via the link.

Thanks for your questions and kind words.
First, I would like to apologise for not getting back to you all sooner, but I was unaware of the posts. I have sent you PMs letting you all know how to contact me if you need to moving forward.
Thanks for fixing everything in the latest patch. I was able to get past the crypt thru the portal. I just have one question. Where is the freaking rope? I need to finish the crypt in town.
I had an opportunity to beta test, and for me it was a unique and entertaining experience. It's very much an old school style of role-playing game, replete with challenging puzzles, difficult combat, and unique (for NWN2) game mechanics. It can require ingenuity and perseverance to complete, but if you are up for the challenge then I believe you will enjoy it!

You also asked: Where is the freaking rope?
SPOILER: It is in the boathouse in New Edgeton.

Thanks everyone!
I need to finish the crypt in town.
I'm really enjoying all of the additional mechanics and will pop back in to vote once I have played more.
Movies, voice acting, new mechanics and an interesting story .... what's not to like.
