Neverwinter Nights 2

GENERAL

Q: What is Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded?
A: Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded is a fan-made tribute to and complete remake of Baldur’s Gate (1998) and Tales of the Sword Coast for Neverwinter Nights 2, originally developed by Bioware and published by Interplay.

Q: Do I need Neverwinter Nights 2 to play it?
A: Yes, as well as both expansions: Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir.

Q: Does it contain every quest from the original game?
A: It does! It also includes Tales of the Sword Coast.

Q: What languages does Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded support?
A: Currently, Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded only supports English as we didn’t really have the resources to release it on other languages. If you would like to release it in another language, you are certainly welcome to do so as long as you remember to credit us.

Q: Can I make my own mod based of Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded?
A: You certainly can! NWN2 features a robust, yet user-friendly toolset that’s both powerful and fun to use. If you are using any of our content, please remember to credit us.

Q: Are there bugs in this game?
A: Probably, though hopefully nothing major. We tried to catch and fix everything we could before release and even had a group of beta testers help us out. However, we were an extremely small team and this is a huge game, so there’s bound to be some bugs we didn’t catch.

Q: Where can I report bugs?
A: We have a Bug Tracker on the following site:

INSTALLATION

Q: How do I install Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded?
A: Installation is easy but can be a little confusing, especially if this is your first time installing a NWN2 mod. Please see the User Guide for detailed installation instructions (with images):

Q: The heads are all messed up in my game. How do I fix that?
A: This is usually caused by head packs already being installed in your Override directory. Please ensure that your Override directory is completely empty, both in your installation directory (e.g. C:\Program FilesAtariNeverwinter Nights 2) and your user directory (e.g. C:\Users<username>DocumentsNeverwinter Nights 2).

Q: I am receiving a message that states either the module is corrupt or it’s running a different version. How do I fix this?
A: This is usually caused by not having both expansions installed (Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir) or not patching NWN2 to the most current version. To patch NWN2, please use the “Update” button from the game’s default launcher.

GAMEPLAY

Q: How big is the party size?
A: You can have up to 5 NPC companions, or 6 total.

Q: Is there crafting?
A: There is, though it’s a bit “bare-bones”. You can find an excellent guide to crafting in NWN2 here:

Q: Can I change the classes of my companions?
A: You can ask your companions to change their class by simply speaking with them. An option will be available if the companion is able to change their class.

Q: Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded is a bit too easy/difficult. Is there any way I can make it a bit easier/harder?
A: You can easily adjust the difficulty of the game via the Game Options for Neverwinter Nights 2.

Q: What is the intended difficulty of Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded?
A: Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded is intended to be a challenging experience, similar to that of the original game. However, we do recognize the difference between something that is challenging and something that is frustrating, so we will be tweaking and tuning difficulty as we receive feedback.

Oddly enough, this is something that people forgets to mention in almost every module which is posted around...
Anyway, it probably is, but these are those adventures that usually work better in singleplayer.

I'm trying to get this up on a NWN2 server - it's loaded and working *for the first module piece - but the problem comes when the server has to switch to a different module (world transitions) - it hangs during the "unpacking module" phase.

The goal is to be able to have the 2 clients (with fully working Baldurs Gate Reloaded installs) attach to the server (with a working Baldurs' Gate reloaded install and all files).

How do you tell the server to step from BG_A to BG_B when a player hits a world transition?

    Thanks in advance.

The link for the crafting is not working.  It sends to a random page, of note is the first time it sent me to xhamster a porn site.

I have one major nagging question; are you guys going to try making Baldur's Gate 2 the same way? (Please say yes, please say yes, oh please, oh please . . . )

FABULOUS looking game! I have a quick question:

Character stats, upgrades, and skills are similar in Neverwinter and BG but not the same. Did you override the Neverwinter 2 PC system with the BG system, or is it the same as Neverwinter 2?

ALSO: I have Neverwinter Nights 2 installed on both my PC and my Mac. I'm going to try out BGR on the Mac Pro and will let you know if it works (I'm guessing it WILL).
