ARNHEIM CUSTOM CONTENT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
[last edit: 2012 oct 9]

The Arnheim modules use a variety of custom content, including haks, overrides, tlks, and a modified dialog.tlk. To simplify the install of this content, I have created these instructions. If you have any questions about this send them to [email protected]

The Arnheim Core Content has been upgraded as has Project Q. You will need these upgrades to play.

Step One - Download the Custom Content
Arnheim Core Content: ( http://neverwinter.nexusmods.com/mods/96 )
Arnheim HAKs
Arnheim TLK
Arnheim Overides
Arnheim Dialog
Arnheim Tilesets (For a list of tilesets in this archive see the Appendix of this document)

Additional Packages (Required)
Project Q v1.5 Haks ( http://bit.ly/rCTyP0 )

Arnheim Optional Content: ( http://bit.ly/Hbpxv1 )
Arnheim Music
Arnheim Portraits

Step Two - Backing Up
A. Backup your override directory as follows:
Navigate to the directory in which you have placed the Neverwinter Nights application. On my drive this is named NWN.
Select the directory named override
Rename this directory to Override_Bak
B. Backup your dialog.tlk file as follows:
Navigate to the directory in which you have placed the Neverwinter Nights application. On my drive this is named NWN.
Select the file named dialog.tlk
Rename this file to dialog_bak.tlk

Step Three - Installation
Extract the various archives to your desktop
If your NWN plays in the English language place the dialog.tlk file in your Neverwinter Nights directory, and if necessary, approve the prompt to overwrite the existing file. The name of this directory on my computer is NWN.
IMPORTANT: If you DO NOT have an English version of NWN, contact me [email protected]
Files from the override download go in Neverwinter Nights override directory. If you do not have an override directory, make one named override.
Files from the optional portraits download go in Neverwinter Nights portraits directory.
Files from the optional music download go in Neverwinter Nights music directory.
Move the remaining files by file type into their respective directories. Approve all overwrites.
tlk files go in Neverwinter Nights tlk directory
hak files go in Neverwinter Nights hak directory

NOTES
It is unconventional to include a dialog.tlk file and override files with a modules custom content. In this case it is necessary because these files enable Arnheim character creation in multiplayer games. Without these files creation of Arnheim characters will be confusing, and there is no guarantee that they will have the custom feats, and abilities that are part of the setting.
The dialog.tlk file will not change default Neverwinter Nights behavior for the English version. Once it is installed there is no reason to need to remove it. It will work just fine with other modules including those that use the Community Patch v 1.70.
The overrides may affect modules. We recommend that when you play other Neverwinter Nights modules that you move all of these Arnheim files out of the override directory. The easiest way to do this is to simply move the override directory to another location after youve finished making characters for Arnheim.
