The Gods of Toril

This is a simple modder's resource module for NWN:EE that includes custom creature blueprints for the 30 major gods of Toril as they are described in the 3e sourcebook, Faiths and Pantheons: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Cyric, Eilistraee, Gond, Helm, Ilmater, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Lolth, Malar, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Oghma, Selûne, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Uthgar, and Waukeen.

The only area in the module is just there for the purpose of getting to the templates in the toolset. There's nothing in it. The deity blueprints are in the Creatures palette on the Custom -> Special tab and grouped by alignment in the Custom 1, 2, and 3 categories.

Originally, I had planned to make this a small quest module where the player would have to go through a gantlet of the gods from weakest to strongest before reaching the end. A good chunk of the last year was spent creating and then pitting these gods against each other in order to get that ranking (some fights taking up to 45 minutes to complete - I thought they'd never end). Unfortunately, by the time I was ready for the quest creation part, I lost motivation, and so I decided to upload what I had as a modder's resource, instead.

If you're interested in the test results, they're at the end of this mod description along with notes about the gods' NPC AI.

Ultimately, you are free to use these blueprints in your own modules/creations so long as you give me credit for the extensive work I put into making them. Please don't upload this module as it is to any other website, however.

What You Need

As I planned from the beginning on releasing this mod eventually, even if I never made the quest for it, I tried to keep everything as vanilla-friendly as possible to avoid incompatibilities with other modules. The gods use vanilla portraits and voice sets (though I made them as appropriate to each deity as I possibly could). They do use slightly-altered vanilla heads in the screenshots, so if you want them to look exactly as they appear there, you will need Coloured Eyes, Lips, & Eyebrows.

What You Get

The deities included in this module were created using a combination of feats and armor enchantments, because not everything I needed to make them accurately was available in either area alone, so I had to use both in tandem. As such, their armor and weapons are not lootable, though this can be changed if you want. Most helmets and cloaks are not enchanted at all, and are there merely for aesthetic purposes, though there are a couple of exceptions. Kossuth, Lolth, and Malar use rings.

What's included straight from canon:
  • Outsider classification and alignment.
  • Ability scores, skills, saving throws, divine immunities, and elemental resistances.
  • Most at-will spell-like abilities (or as close as NWN allows), though their usage is capped at 20 each for sanity's sake.
  • As close to their canonical class combos as I could get, though I had to cobble a few together (reducing 5 classes to the toolset's limit of 3, for example).
  • All feats that are available in the toolset to give to them (with a few exceptions, see below).
  • All weapons (or as close as NWN allows). This includes the bite and claw attacks of Lolth and Malar.
  • Appearances - I either went by official artwork, descriptions, cameos in other games, or all of the above.

What is close to canon but not quite there:

  • AC - I'm pretty sure NWN caps out at a +20 AC bonus, so they probably don't quite make it to their canonical AC totals (though they do get close - I added the number of extra points they needed on their armors, even if it required duplicate AC enchants to reach - probably doesn't work, but I tried). Natural AC numbers in their toolset entries are indeed the natural AC scores provided in F&P, however.
  • SR - I'm also pretty certain NWN caps out at SR 32. Even so, the numbers are there on the equipment even if the game doesn't go over that cap.
  • HP - These recreations actually have more HP than canon, because I entered their HP totals in the Base HP boxes in the toolset, letting the game add whatever bonuses it wanted on top of that. IMO, this makes up for some of the things I wasn't able to include, so it's fair.
  • Weapon Enchantments - Most of the weapons are accurate, but I couldn't properly recreate the "on crit only" elemental damage enchants, so these are actually on every hit. Please note that the visual effects on the weapons are not necessarily indicative of the enchantments.

What I wasn't able to include at all:
  • Special Dice Rolling - Max damage rolls, automatic 20s, take 10, and no auto-fail on 1s were not possible for me to recreate.
  • Accurate BABs - There's no way to even know what their BABs are in the toolset, so I have no idea if they're even close.
  • Damage Reduction - The deities' DR/+4 feature was not possible for me to recreate.
  • Fast Healing - NWN's regeneration ability didn't seem to be an accurate equivalent, so it was purposefully excluded.
  • Obvious special qualities or divine salient abilities revolving around teleportation, godly attacks, etc. The effects of divine salient abilities that could be cobbled together from existing traits are provided, but many are not (IE: Annihilating Strike).
  • Domain powers not available in the toolset.

Purposeful alterations from canon:
  • I had to get rid of Silvanus's Wild Shape ability because he did nothing but Wild Shape in combat when it was available. This got really annoying really fast.
  • Summon Monster IX was not included because the AI wouldn't use Protection from Alignment appropriately and multiple Balors got messy... <.<
  • All weapon enhancement bonuses were brought up to +5 to correct inconsistencies in F&P.
  • Because this module was geared to pit the gods against each other in order for me to rank them, their prepared spells from their casting classes are also geared towards fighting amongst themselves, not mortals (IE: minimal electricity, acid, and cold spells because they do absolutely no good) and include healing spells - those capable of casting it have been given at least 1 use of heal. These selections are more than sufficient for dealing with mortals too, but you are free to change them.
  • All deities have been given all metamagic feats, including automatic metamagic. Like the extra HP, I think this makes up for the fact they don't have everything from the source material, and it also makes more sense from a creator's standpoint.

Known Issues:
  • Sometimes the gods just stop fighting. The AI just... quits working. There's really nothing that can be done when this happens. Dispelling their buffs seems to help "unlock" them, but not always. This is probably because they have so many powers and abilities that the game doesn't know what to do with it all.
  • The AI tends to go down their list of spell-like abilities in alphabetical order. This is incredibly annoying, but I don't know how to avoid it.
  • Similarly, Cleric deities often tend to run through every usage of their Turn Undead abilities whether they're needed or not, usually at the beginning of combat.

Bottom line - these replications are not "fully-powered" due to game limitations, but they're not their weaker avatars, either. Thus, I had settled for calling them "projections" in my incomplete questline.

The Test Results
I did manage to complete testing of all 30 of the gods against each other and ranked them according to their win/draw/loss ratio. Draws were called when the fights went on beyond any reasonable time to wait with no obvious gains made on either side OR if their AI glitched out (which happened several times).

Here are their rankings, from least to most powerful. If you want to know how well they did against each other and/or descriptions of their AI performance, read on.

30
Eilistraee
"You face your death in me!"
Won: 0 / Draw: 3 / Lost: 26

Unfortunately, despite her fierce battlecry, Eilistraee was unable to defeat... literally anyone else. Her low divine ranking leaves her with a lower AC and SR than most, and it definitely shows even in NWN's engine. Still, my level 40 endgame HotU character was unable to beat her in single combat, so she's no pushover against high-level mortals despite her inability to win against her peers. This should tell you something about battling the rest of them...

Eilistraee's AI favors summons and blade barriers, though she will also engage with her bastard sword. She doesn't have a whole lot of healing capabilities, however, which hurts her.

Won:  --
Draw: Malar, Oghma, Talos
Lost: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Cyric, Gond, Helm, Ilmater, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Lolth, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Selûne, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Sune, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Uthgar, Waukeen
---------------------------
29
Shaundakul
"You've no cause to attack me!"
Won: 4 / Draw: 5 / Lost: 20

The Windrider performed just a bit better than Eilistraee, but not by much, losing 20 out of 29 matches. Like Eilistraee, his divine ranking is low, so this does actually make sense.

His AI tends to cause him to rush into melee with his greatsword, which he's certainly good at, but his lower-than-average AC leaves him vulnerable to other melee fighters. He also has little healing capabilities to help him out.

Won: Eilistraee, Gond, Mielikki, Sune
Draw: Cyric, Lolth, Malar, Shar, Talos
Lost: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Helm, Ilmater, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Mask, Mystra, Oghma, Selûne, Silvanus, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Uthgar, Waukeen
---------------------------
28
Uthgar
"Blood and bones!"
Won: 8 / Draw: 2 / Lost:19

Another low-divine-ranker, the patron of the Uthgardt performs a little better than Shaundakul. His access to both a ton of blade barriers and an axe that does sonic damage is certainly nothing to sneeze at. But, like the deities above, he's vulnerable in ways the Greater Powers are not.

Uthgar is another who rushes melee, many times to his detriment. His healing powers are also minimal.

Won: Bane, Eilistraee, Gond, Lolth, Malar, Shar, Shaundakul, Talos
Draw: Cyric, Waukeen
Lost: Azuth, Chauntea, Helm, Ilmater, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Oghma, Selûne, Silvanus, Sune, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee
---------------------------

27
Gond
"Fall before the might!"
Won: 1 / Draw: 13 / Lost: 15

The Wonderbringer has less wins than his lower-ranked peers, but he makes up for it with the massive increase in the number draws under his belt - while half the deities defeated him, almost that same number couldn't establish a clear win against him. One possible aid in this is his immunity to fire, a trait he shares only with Kossuth.

Gond seems to be equal parts buffer, offensive caster, and melee fighter. His AI utilizes his bardsong regularly throughout his fights, and he often magically enhances his hammer with fire.

Won: Eilistraee
Draw: Cyric, Lolth, Malar, Mielikki, Mystra, Selûne, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Waukeen
Lost: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Helm, Ilmater, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Mask, Oghma, Shar, Shaundakul, Tempus, Umberlee, Uthgar
---------------------------

26
Malar
"*ROAR*"
Won: 0 / Draw: 16 / Lost: 13

Like Eilistraee, the Beastlord simply cannot win against any of his peers. However, enemy gods also seem to have trouble defeating him right back.

Malar's AI glitches out frequently, however, and he will often just stop fighting (much to my frustration). Those deities who managed to beat him did so quickly, before the glitch had a chance to manifest. When he does fight, he favors spamming Bigby's hands-of-various-sorts.

Won: --
Draw: Cyric, Eilistraee, Gond, Helm, Ilmater, Lolth, Mask, Oghma, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Tymora, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Mielikki, Mystra, Selûne, Tempus, Torm, Tyr, Uthgar
---------------------------

25
Umberlee

"Ragh!"
Won: 4 / Draw: 13 / Lost: 12

Umberlee certainly performs better than her fellow Deity of Fury at rank 26. Like Gond, she seems to favor an equal combo of defensive casting, offensive casting, and melee, plus she can heal herself fairly well. On top of that, her trident does sonic damage. Fights against her took quite a while to complete.

Her AI really likes to spam acid fog.

Won: Eilistraee, Gond, Shaundakul, Uthgar
Draw: Cyric, Ilmater, Lolth, Malar, Mask, Mielikki, Oghma, Shar, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Torm, Waukeen
Lost: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Helm, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Mystra, Selûne, Tempus, Tymora, Tyr
---------------------------

24
Bane

"Your end draws nigh!"
Won: 9 / Draw: 8 / Lost: 12

The Black Lord is a fairly decent opponent, but not nearly as formidable as his overall character level (65) might suggest (at least compared to the other gods). His AI tends to eschew a lot of spellcasting and just dives straight into melee. He does well in that area, though, and he has a fairly good healing repertoire.

Bane is one of the ones who can get stuck casting Turn Undead at the beginning of a fight, however.

Won: Eilistraee, Gond, Lolth, Malar, Mielikki, Shar, Shaundakul, Umberlee, Waukeen
Draw: Azuth, Cyric, Ilmater, Mask, Oghma, Silvanus, Talos, Torm
Lost: Chauntea, Helm, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Mystra, Selûne, Sune, Tempus, Tymora, Tyr, Uthgar
---------------------------

23
Sune

"I'll put you in your place!"
Won: 5 / Draw: 13 / Lost: 11

Lady Firehair is one of the gods whom I've dubbed the "troll" deities. That is, she doesn't win much, but she buffs a lot, holds her own, and then just quits fighting. Battles against Sune invariably took forever to finish, if they properly finished at all.

Her AI doesn't utilize bardsong, even though it's there, but it does spam every other buff in the book. She'll also go invisible to heal herself seemingly a thousand times. You've been warned.

Won: Azuth, Bane, Eilistraee, Lolth, Uthgar
Draw: Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Kossuth, Lathander, Malar, Mask, Mystra, Oghma, Torm, Tyr, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Helm, Kelemvor, Mielikki, Selûne, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Talos, Tempus, Tymora
---------------------------

22
Mielikki
"Feel my sting!"
Won: 9 / Draw: 9 / Lost: 11

The Forest Queen is a roughly middle-of-the-road performer, winning, drawing, and losing in almost equal amounts. Unfortunately, she tends to rush melee, and she often switches from her scimitars to her bow, the latter of which seems less effective against her divine peers.

Able to spam both blade barrier and creeping doom, Mielikki is still a rather formidable opponent, especially if she's not defeated before she starts throwing those spells around the battlefield at the same time. She is also a very competent healer, to boot. Thus, she only lost to those gods who were able to either endure such an onslaught of massive dps or who closed with her swiftly and overpowered her in melee.

Won: Eilistraee, Kossuth, Lathander, Malar, Selûne, Sune, Tymora, Tyr, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Chauntea, Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Oghma, Torm, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Bane, Helm, Kelemvor, Lolth, Mask, Mystra, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Talos, Tempus
---------------------------

21
Lolth

"Perish, fool!"
Won: 5 / Draw: 14 / Lost:10

With several weapons at her command, including poisoned ones, as well as a plethora of spells of various sorts, the Queen of Spiders is no pushover. True to drow combat style, her AI will often drop darkness on an enemy's head, in which she'll hide and heal or summon undead to aid her. Battles with Lolth are lengthy, and if they go on long enough, she will start to spam creeping doom.

However, she does tend to spread out her spellcasting, engaging in melee in between buffing, which may or may not be to one's advantage; she is weaker in this regard. On the other hand, she is a competent healer, which balances out that weakness.

Won: Eilistraee, Lathander, Mielikki, Selûne, Tymora
Draw: Chauntea, Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Malar, Mask, Oghma, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Talos, Torm, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Azuth, Bane, Helm, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Mystra, Sune, Tempus, Tyr, Uthgar
---------------------------

20
Helm

"Feel the fury!"
Won: 13 / Draw: 6 / Lost: 10

With a distinctly higher win rate than his partner-in-number-of-losses, Lolth, the Watcher is a strong melee fighter and often engages in close combat early. His bastard sword is both anti-chaos and anti-evil, so it packs a particularly powerful punch against CE enemies. He will occasionally throw out entangle and grease, but his favored spells are his massive array of Bigby's hands. Watch out.

He does have a distinct weakness, though, in that his healing capabilities are mediocre at best.

Won: Azuth, Bane, Eilistraee, Gond, Lolth, Mielikki, Oghma, Shar, Shaundakul, Sune, Umberlee, Uthgar, Waukeen
Draw: Cyric, Ilmater, Malar, Mask, Silvanus, Talos
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Mystra, Selûne, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr
---------------------------

19
Oghma
"Now you shall taste my power!"
Won: 3 / Draw: 17 / Lost: 9

Another "trollish" deity, Oghma is basically Gond on steroids. Unfortunately, he tends to throw himself into melee, but he's not competent enough at it to do well against his fellow deities. He holds them off, sure, but really can't solidly defeat them, as you can see by his numbers.

Against mortals, however, it's likely a different story.

Won: Gond, Shaundakul, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Bane, Cyric, Eilistraee, Ilmater, Kossuth, Lolth, Malar, Mielikki, Shar, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Torm, Tymora, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Helm, Kelemvor, Lathander, Mask, Mystra, Selûne, Tempus, Tyr
---------------------------

18
Kossuth
"*HISS*"
Won: 11 / Draw: 9 / Lost: 9

The Firelord, like Helm, is a formidable melee fighter, but he is also an accomplished wizard who doesn't hesitate to use spells both offensive and defensive. As such, he is quite the dangerous opponent. His AI won't hesitate to spam earthquakes in addition to pulverizing opponents to a pulp with his flame-enchanted flail. He is also completely immune to fire damage, just as Gond.

His big weakness, however, is that he has absolutely no healing power to help him out.

Won: Bane, Eilistraee, Gond, Helm, Lolth, Malar, Shar, Shaundakul, Umberlee, Uthgar, Waukeen
Draw: Azuth, Cyric, Ilmater, Oghma, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Torm, Tymora
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor, Lathander, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Selûne, Tempus, Tyr
---------------------------

17
Talos
"I'll have your life!"
Won: 2 / Draw: 20 / Lost:7

The Storm Lord actually has a very similar class setup to Kossuth (barbarian/wizard), but his AI is, like Malar's, vulnerable to glitches. Fights with Talos often went on for excessively long periods of time, and after exhausting all his spells with little gains, even his sonic-enchanted spear wasn't enough to defeat most opponents. Eventually, his AI would just stop working.

Many of his spells are lightning-based, which do no good against fellow gods, but are likely far more effective against mortals. He cannot, however, heal himself.

Won: Mielikki, Sune
Draw: Azuth, Bane, Cyric, Eilistraee, Gond, Helm, Ilmater, Kossuth, Lolth, Malar, Mask, Oghma, Selûne, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Torm, Tyr, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor, Lathander, Mystra, Tempus, Tymora, Uthgar
---------------------------

16
Shar
"You breathe your last!"
Won: 7 / Draw: 15 / Lost: 7

The Lady of Loss makes good threats, but her NWN incarnation performs startlingly poorly considering her canonical divine ranking. Her wounding short swords are formidable, and her sneak attacks are deadly in combination with her AI's favored darkness spell, but her lack of any ability to heal herself - like Talos and Kossuth above - makes her very vulnerable to those who can manage to outlast her. Her sorceric powers also leave a lot to be desired, at least against fellow deities. Against mortals, though, they're more than sufficient.

She tends to spam undead summons.

Won: Eilistraee, Gond, Lathander, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Sune
Draw: Cyric, Ilmater, Lolth, Malar, Oghma, Selûne, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Talos, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Helm, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Uthgar
---------------------------

15
Azuth
"Such power you have never seen!"
Won: 9 / Draw: 13 / Lost: 7

The High One is another surprising deity, but in the opposite direction - he performs very well considering his low rank. With both divine and arcane spells at his disposal, plus a staff loaded with even more spells, Azuth can buff, cast both offensively and defensively, and heal in equal measure. His AI's only real flaw is that it likes to rush him into melee early on, despite not having melee classes, and this sometimes prevents him from casting appropriate buffs soon enough to deflect major damage.

Won: Eilistraee, Gond, Lolth, Malar, Shar, Shaundakul, Umberlee, Uthgar, Waukeen
Draw: Bane, Chauntea, Cyric, Ilmater, Kossuth, Mask, Mielikki, Oghma, Silvanus, Talos, Torm, Tymora, Tyr
Lost: Helm, Kelemvor, Lathander, Mystra, Selûne, Sune, Tempus
---------------------------

14
Waukeen
"Beware my wrath!"
Won: 2 / Draw: 21 / Lost: 6

Yet another "troll" deity, Waukeen has just enough levels of rogue, cleric, and wizard to be a major annoyance but not enough to overpower her divine foes. Like Sune, she likes to go invisible. A lot. She also sometimes refuses to engage in a fight at all.

When she does choose to fight, her melee skills leave a lot to be desired, even with an anti-outsider weapon.

Won: Eilistraee, Shaundakul
Draw: Chauntea, Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Lathander, Lolth, Malar, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Oghma, Selûne, Shar, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Uthgar
Lost: Azuth, Bane, Helm, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Tempus
---------------------------

13
Tyr
"For justice and honor!"
Won 10 / Draw: 13 / Lost: 6

Yes, I know the wrong hand is gone. But it had to be his offhand or his sword would float awkwardly in melee and there's no way to swap weapon hands.

Incorrect missing hand issue aside, Tyr is a powerful opponent in melee as well as a very competent healer. He likes to throw out blade barriers before closing in on his enemies at the same time in hand-to-hand. Unfortunately, he is also sometimes victim to the AI glitch that makes him stop fighting entirely, usually when a battle goes on for a long time.

Won: Bane, Eilistraee, Helm, Kossuth, Lolth, Malar, Oghma, Shaundakul, Umberlee, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Lathander, Mask, Selûne, Shar, Sune, Talos, Torm, Tymora, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor, Mielikki, Mystra, Silvanus, Tempus
---------------------------

12
Lathander

"The light shall never fade!"
Won: 13 / Draw: 10 / Lost: 6

Very similar to Tyr in power level, the Morninglord is also a strong melee fighter and healer. Their AI has similar tactics, although Lathander seems to miss out on the AI glitches, for some reason. He can get stuck Turning Undead, though.

Won: Azuth, Bane, Eilistraee, Gond, Helm, Kossuth, Malar, Oghma, Shaundakul, Talos, Tempus, Umberlee, Uthgar
Draw: Cyric, Ilmater, Selûne, Sune, Mask, Mystra, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor, Lolth, Mielikki, Shar, Silvanus
---------------------------

11
Tymora
"Take that, and that, and that one, too!"
Won: 10 / Draw: 14 / Lost: 5

Here we begin the top peformers of the bunch - those who lost 5 or fewer battles out of the 29. Equal parts "troll" and sheer awesomeness, Tymora is surprisingly decent at melee for a rogue/sorcerer. Her lack of healing abilities does not seem to affect her as much as some of the above gods with the same weakness. The luck bonus her sword provides is a distinct boost, and she also has a good sneak attack.

However, she does tend to rush melee and sometimes avoids buffing altogether, making her seem on the outside like more of a fighter character than she really is.

Won: Bane, Eilistraee, Helm, Mystra, Shaundakul, Sune, Talos, Tempus, Umberlee, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Kossuth, Lathander, Malar, Mask, Oghma, Selûne, Shar, Torm, Tyr, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor, Lolth, Mielikki, Silvanus
---------------------------

10
Selûne
"You must fall, for the greater good!"
Won: 12 / Draw: 12 / Lost: 5

The Moonmaiden is a powerful combination of arcane and divine spellcasting; she is very similar to Azuth in build and AI combat style, but she is even stronger against her fellow deities. Unfortunately, her melee skills aren't quite good enough to best a good number of her peers, but she also holds her own very well against them, and battles with her can last a very long time. She casts both offensively and defensively, heals herself well, and her AI tends to spam blade barrier and earthquake.

Won: Azuth, Bane, Eilistraee, Helm, Kossuth, Malar, Mystra, Oghma, Shaundakul, Sune, Umberlee, Uthgar
Draw: Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Lathander, Mask, Shar, Talos, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor, Lolth, Mielikki, Silvanus
---------------------------

9
Mystra
"I shall be victorious!"
Won: 15 / Draw: 9 / Lost: 5

Another extremely powerful arcane/divine spellcaster (are you seeing a pattern here?), the newest Mother of All Magic will throw every single spell she has in her repertoire at you and heal herself besides. She is generous with buffs and exhausts all offensive spells she can, including a slew of blade barriers. She also routineley uses summons in combat.

Unfortunately, her only weapons - shuriken - leave a lot to be desired. If her onslaught of spells can be outlasted, she's far less effective in this regard.

Won: Azuth, Bane, Eilistraee, Helm, Kossuth, Lolth, Malar, Mielikki, Oghma, Shaundakul, Talos, Tempus, Tyr, Umberlee, Uthgar
Draw: Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Lathander, Mask, Silvanus, Sune, Torm, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor, Selûne, Shar, Tymora
---------------------------

8
Tempus

"Nothing walks away!"
Won: 17 / Draw: 8 / Lost: 4

To be honest, the Lord of Battles is absolutely terrifying. An extremely powerful melee fighter, Tempus rushes into battle with anti-law axe swinging, throwing out blade barriers whilst simultaneously hacking opponents to pieces. His AI will also frequently use any of the Bigby's spells he has at his disposal. His strength and speed are certainly in his favor, but he has one weakness - his ability to heal is limited, and so those who can do so more have a chance of outlasting him.

Won: Azuth, Bane, Eilistraee, Gond, Helm, Kossuth, Lolth, Malar, Mielikki, Oghma, Shaundakul, Sune, Talos, Tyr, Umberlee, Uthgar, Waukeen
Draw: Chauntea, Cyric, Ilmater, Mask, Selûne, Shar, Silvanus, Torm
Lost: Kelemvor, Lathander, Mystra, Tymora
---------------------------

7
Mask
"We won't both walk away from this!"
Won: 7 / Draw: 20 / Lost: 2

Arguably the best rogue of the bunch (despite scoring lower than Cyric - we'll get to him in a bit), the Lord of Shadows has a massive sneak attack capability, and this, coupled with his frequent usage of time stop in battle, makes him almost as terrifying as Tempus in his own way. A relentless opponent, Mask summons undead to aid him in combat, too. His only major weakness is the fact he cannot heal at all.

Despite his endless onslaught, however, he seems to have trouble hitting a good number of deities, and vice versa, making divine battles with him last an extraordinarily long time.

I suspect this is certainly not the case with mortals.

Won: Eilistraee, Gond, Kossuth, Mielikki, Oghma, Shaundakul, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Cyric, Helm, Ilmater, Lathander, Lolth, Malar, Mystra, Selûne, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Kelemvor, Shar
---------------------------

6
Silvanus

"The earth shall swallow you!"
Won: 9 / Draw: 18 /Lost: 2

The Treefather is nobody to sneeze at; with the ability to make his hammer deal whatever elemental damage he likes (I gave him sonic for obvious reasons), decent melee capabilities, great healing power, and his AI's tendency to spam creeping doom, Silvanus is pretty scary.

Unfortunately, he's another deity who's vulnerable to the notorious AI glitch that makes him stop fighting, so he often never makes it to use all of his available powers.

Won: Eilistraee, Lathander, Mielikki, Selûne, Shaundakul, Sune, Tymora, Tyr, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Bane, Cyric, Gond, Helm, Ilmater, Kossuth, Lolth, Malar, Mask, Mystra, Oghma, Shar, Talos, Tempus, Torm, Umberlee, Waukeen
Lost: Chauntea, Kelemvor

Cyric
"Prepare to be eviscerated, fool!"
Won: 1 / Draw: 27 / Lost: 1

And here we reach the king of trolls himself. The Princes of Lies has the astonishing ability to fail quite spectacularly at melee, but will buff himself until he is nearly impossible to hit and then cease fighting entirely so that no one succeeds against him, either. If he could actually honestly battle more than just one or two of the gods without giving up, his screaming and wounding weapon and sneak attacks might be a decent threat. But his AI insists on shutting him down when he runs out of offensive spells.

I suppose it should be considered a miracle he even managed to defeat one of them.

Won: Eilistraee
Draw: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Gond, Helm, Ilmater, Kossuth, Lathander, Lolth, Malar, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Oghma, Selûne, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Uthgar, Waukeen
Lost: Kelemvor

Ilmater

"Fall before the righteous!"
Won: 4 / Draw: 25 / Lost: 0

Only a little bit less of a troll than Cyric is the Broken God. Despite having an impressive number of dangerous spell-like abilities from which to choose, on top of his ridiculous monk speed and melee attacks, Ilmater somehow manages to fail to defeat most of his peers. His AI favors throwing him straight into melee with little or no buffing at all, but he's not all that great at it when facing his fellow deities. His offensive spells go entirely unused.

On top of that, Ilmater canonically has the ability to heal himself infinitely, which means he basically cannot be beaten in honest combat, even though he technically was by Kelemvor in his round of testing. Unfortunately, his AI also refuses to let him use all of the healing spell-like abilities available to him, which is in-and-of-itself a sort of glitch, and so Kelemvor is robbed of his true victory here.

Ilmater gets to save face, though. I guess.

Won: Eilistraee, Gond, Shaundakul, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Cyric, Helm, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Lolth, Malar, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Oghma, Selûne, Shar, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Tempus, Torm, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Waukeen

Torm
"Taste steel, villain!"
Won: 5 / Draw: 24 / Lost: 0

Basically Ilmater 2.0 in almost all ways except Torm is also victim to the AI glitch that ends battle prematurely. He does throw out more offensive spells than Ilmater, particularly his blade barriers, but his AI still ends combat all too soon. He was also technically defeated by Kelemvor, but he has the same infinite healing ability and accompanying problem as Ilmater.

Won: Eilistraee, Helm, Malar, Shaundakul, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Bane, Chauntea, Cyric, Gond, Ilmater, Kelemvor, Kossuth, Lathander, Lolth, Mask, Mielikki, Mystra, Oghma, Selûne, Shar, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Tempus, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Waukeen

2
Chauntea

"For the good of all!"
Won: 19 / Draw: 10 / Lost: 0

One of only two truly undefeated deities, the Earthmother is an awesome combatant, though not necessarily with her holy scythe. Instead, it's her wide range of nature and divine spells she has at her disposal, plus her great healing capabilities, that make her so powerful against her fellow deities. Able and entirely willing to spam blade barrier, earthquake, AND creeping doom against her foes, only those strong enough to withstand (or dispel) such power ended up drawing with her. 19 out of her 29 foes fell outright.

Her only weakness is that her melee fighting abilities are less-than-stellar. She is also victim to the AI glitch if fights go on for too long and she depletes all of her spells. Still, that glitch is rarer with her than with some of the others.

Won: Bane, Eilistraee, Gond, Helm, Kossuth, Lathander, Malar, Mystra, Oghma, Selûne, Shar, Shaundakul, Silvanus, Sune, Talos, Tymora, Tyr, Umberlee, Uthgar
Draw: Azuth, Cyric, Ilmater, Kelemvor, Lolth, Mask, Mielikki, Tempus, Torm, Waukeen

1
Kelemvor
"Accept Judgment!"
Won: 26 / Draw: 3/ Lost: 0

And last but certainly not the least is the MVP of them all, the Lord of the Dead himself. With 26 victories out of 29 and no defeats, Kelemvor is inarguably the most powerful recreation on this list, with only his matches against Chauntea, Ilmater, and Torm ending up as draws. (Technically, he defeated Ilmater and Torm, too, but see above for why I call them draws instead.) A fearsome melee combatant, the only deity who came close to nearly defeating him was Tempus.

In many ways, his build is almost identical to that of Lathander, with only the addition of a few rogue levels to make him different class-wise (and thus grant him a small sneak attack, as well). However, there is also one additional divine salient ability that gives him a greater advantage in combat, one that not even his fellow Battlesense users possess, and it is unique to him amongst these top 30 powers: Undead Qualities.

In essence, this ability grants him all of the benefits of being undead and absolutely none of the drawbacks... without actually being undead. Many of these benefits overlap with his inherent divine immunities, but there are two that are added on top of them - immunity to anything requiring a Fortitude save, and immunity to critical hits. This, coupled with his AI's tendency to drop darkness and sneak attack and his great healing capabilities, makes him a force to be reckoned with.

What is it Grimgnaw says again? "Death comes to us all!"
