IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ANYONE USING UNITE: The Unite mod edits the in-game races, including vehicle classes and payoffs. This mod will work with Unite, BUT YOU HAVE TO PUT THIS MOD BELOW YOUR UNITE MODS. Open Frosty Mod Manager, and with Unite and the cash mod applied, go to where your currently applied mods are, click on the cash mod(s) you are using, and hit the down arrow below "Applied Mods" until the cash mod is below the Unite mods. This will cause the game to load the cash mod after it loads the Unite mod, overwriting Unite's changes to event payoffs. This is safe, and everything else should still work fine. Enjoy your big money $$$
After troubleshooting for a while, I managed to get the mod working. Here’s what you need to do to avoid the issues I faced or to fix the infinite loading screen.
Open the EA App and repair the game to reset all changes.
Delete the modData folder from the game directory if it exists.
Delete the ./FrostyModManager_Stargirl/Caches folder.
Delete the ./FrostyModManager_Stargirl/Profiles/NFSUnboundSDK.dll file.
Open FrostyModManager and select NFS Unbound. It will prompt you to launch the game to create a profile. Follow the instructions, then close both the game and FrostyModManager.
Reopen FrostyModManager and launch the game through it without any mods applied. Ensure the game launches successfully before proceeding.
Install your mods in FrostyModManager (verify they appear in the "Applied Mods" tab).
Launch the game through FrostyModManager, and you’re all set!
I think this make modifications on prologue races too cause in the first race after intro there is a buy-in of 2K which is a problem cause you start with no cash, overall great mod
Edit: Found the reason, apparently Unite changes the first race after intro so that's was the cause of the problem
Can I directly replace the original game file with the mod file? Since my Frosty Mod Manager keeps making the EA app crash, I wonder if there is another way to apply the mod.
Nope you can't do that but you can try a different version of the manager. mod manager - Google Drive Try the epic games version, it will create the game files you need and then you can just launch the game from the shortcut or from the EA app.
I'm unable to run the mod manager itself. It's the 1.0.7 version from official unite discord channel (I also tried your links to no avail). Every time i'm getting this error code:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Frosty.Core.Windows.FrostyProfileSelectWindow.IterateSubKeys(RegistryKey subKey, Int32& totalCount) at Frosty.Core.Windows.FrostyProfileSelectWindow.IterateSubKeys(RegistryKey subKey, Int32& totalCount) at Frosty.Core.Windows.FrostyProfileSelectWindow.<ScanGames>b__6_0() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Execute() --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Runtime.ExceptionServices.ExceptionDispatchInfo.Throw() at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task) at Frosty.Core.Windows.FrostyProfileSelectWindow.<ScanGames>d__6.MoveNext() --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Runtime.ExceptionServices.ExceptionDispatchInfo.Throw() at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.InternalRealCall(Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs, Delegate catchHandler)
That happens even BEFORE I can select profile and find the game in its Steam directory so literally no mods are installed. Tried deleting NFS unbound sdk file in order to generate it anew by launching the game directly through EA app or Steam (tried both). SDK is not being created but its likely because it need the frosty manager running at the same time in order to do it. Problem is that the mod manager crashes and closes after throwing the above error code. Moddata deleted (it didn't have a chance to be even created), tried datapath fix, erased frosty's cache in appdata folder, verified i have the newest NET framework installed. Redownloaded mod manager several times as well to make sure it is as clean as possible.
I'm literally out of options, I cant seem to get any help either on discord or on the net as everyone having the same error code get no responses under their threads.
I have some experience with modding the latests NFS games. I confirmed that frosty 1.0.6.3 still works fine with Heat. Also 1.0.7 worked fine a month ago, I finished half of the Unbound this autumn with Unite mods running. I wanted to check the newest update and was hit in the face with this bs all of a sudden.
If that's of any help. I uninstalled the game at some point and downloaded it again. Not sure if it makes a difference as all directories stayed the same.
Have you tried deleting the mods in the mod manager folder? (Mod Manager 1.0.7\Mods\NeedForSpeedUnbound). Another thing you can try is clearing the cache for the mod manager go to C:\Users\*Your User*\AppData\Local\Frosty and delete the config file. You can also try another version of 1.0.7.0 found here mod manager - Google Drive
Thanks, I deleted Mods folder and it is not getting back with my mod manager not even opening. Same with ModData in game directory folder - deleted that at the beginning and its not being generated anymore since manager is crashing at startup.
I gave your mod manager a shot, sadly I'm getting the same error with object referrence. I'm surprised that it was working before and literally nothing changed on my PC since the last time I played the previous release of UNITE...
Yeah, but for whoever having the same problem... reinstalling whole windows was the solution. I can finally open the manager and upload mods as usual. Thanks for your suggestions anyway!

I used it once (Thank you), How can I activate it to use again?
