    I did everything accordingly to the tutorial yet the game crashes everytime on startup loading.
    Using "Story mode" compatible pack in FMM, only have the 3 UNITE 1.1 mods activated.
    Help pls :(

      if you have steam + EA play, you can legally download the 2021 build, which Unite and pretty much every mod on nexus will work with. Use Steam Depot Downloader. (it will install Origin to run it though; so i don't know if this will work for people in the future since Origin will be shutdown later this year)

      The title screen will say Unite 1.1 if its working properly. I only use Unite, Increased Damage, and English Patch No issues.. MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE PROPER NFS PAYBACK VERSION YOU HAVE WITH DEPOT DOWNLOADER. I downloaded the standard edition W/EA Play and Deluxe Payback, and it didn't work; got the Deluxe edition build, no issues.

    COMPLETELY breaks offroad racing (AWD cars become slidy drift POS on ANY course).
    Not to mention: if you have ANY drag missions that ARE NOT a completely straight line; Good F'ing luck!
    Makes Race car handling AWFUL for cornering. (Its fine in freeroam, but it makes OVERSTEER a HUGE problem in any race/causes your turning to 'freeze' at far left/right turning at any speed above 240km/h)
    Drifting is the ONLY good handling 'fix' and even then NFS PB/Heat drifting is 1000x better, since you can brake into a corner (Which is more like IRL drifting, however in IRL drifting it requires BOTH the handbrake and turning the car to drift well, in this the basic swerve drift is fine; however handbraking with ANY car is a SEVERE problem with Unite)

    However! I Do like the option to remove the hood (as a hood camera player.. once the hood gets 1/2 broken in ANY race without Unite it becomes nearly impossible to drive). as well as the custom cars from other games/the MC cars (Rav's Beetle is ... weird though)

    Handling is doodoo. Cars break traction at all and go into a weird forced slide then spin. No amount of throttle control or countersteer stops it

    Thanks for doing a UNITE mod for Payback, but I have two issues:


    • I wanted to start a new story playthrough with the mod, but cars handle like bricks covered in oil with the handling addon enabled. They barely turn and constantly spin out. It doesn't feel very good.

    • Texture LOD is horrible with the mod enabled. If you're more than 10-20 feet away from something, the textures become a complete blur. It's especially noticeable with signs (not billboards) and trees as you're driving around. Here's a comparison image I made from the prologue:

    And no, this isn't just the textures slowly loading in. If I sit in front of a tree, it stays a blurry mess until I get really close. In vanilla Payback this isn't the case at all. Also my graphic settings are all maxed out!

    FMM keeps saying unite is already added even tho its not... So it won't let me add Unite to the mod list... All the other files that came with the mod added to FMM with no problem, just not unite itself....

    For some reason this mod doesn't work for me at all.
    Downloaded FMM beta 4, choose game, added mods to list, applied them(Unite at the top), launched game(via FMM) and after it loaded literally nothing changed. I tried to install mods through different versions of FMM, deleted my savefile and started new game, tried to add mods one by one, reinstalled game, nothing helped. I have a suspicion that it's because my game isn't english version but i can't test it out, since EA is dumb and doesn't let you change language.

    And i waited for this mod for a long time :(

    The game crashes during the highway heist mission when Jess grabs the Koenigsegg. Anyone have a fix for this?

    Edit: Figured it out, it was the stance add-on that was making it crash. it doesn't seem to like story missions

      Try to disable the stance mod I have this problem during the mod test.
