Mod created by Artur Alexeev I managed to dig his contact and contacted him last year. But so far he didn't respond on his VK contact. If he does respond and says no or this mod bothers moderators or such i will remove it.
Mod is created in 2016 and i noticed that even today in 2022 , people use texmod manually and that is a pain. This mod changes everything for texmod. Have fun!
TexMod is a program that allows you to replace textures in DirectX 9 games. Original TexMod has some limitations: you must use its UI to start a game, so you can't start a game in one click; you can't start a game with custom command line parameters. This is where this comes into play for TexMod Loader is written and compiled for .NET Framework v4.0. You must have it installed to be able to run a loader. This is because current MS Visual Studio can't compile native code for Windows XP and I don't want to install old VS just to make this loader. And .NET Framework is available for Windows XP also. And also it was much easier to write it in C#. Also now archive contains HelixMod version of a loader. It has patched HelixMod dll inside (d3d9.dll) that loads tmldr.dll (used for tpf files autoload), and this dll loads tmrls.dll (texmod dll). Use it for games that you can't run directly (like Steam games).
USAGE:
1. Just copy files from loader folder into your game folder
2. Open texmod.cfg in your favorite txt editor, like notepad++ and write name of your exe file example:
program=speed.exe
3. Put all your .tpf files inside "TexMod" folder. 4. Run texmodloader.exe (feel free to rename texmodloader) 5.Enjoy.
Command line commands examples (FOR NON STEAM GAMES ONLY) When using steam , write commands in steam game properties , otherwise steam will popup every time yes/cancel
