Hi there! I have a question. I plan to use this mod with Unite. I'm very experienced with racing games and consider myself better than the average player, but far from a pro. With Unite alone, I have about 150 hours played, but most of it was spent in day racing. Also, I mostly have trouble with heat 4 and 5 cops (they're on steroids). With that said, I plan to use the escalations mod and the max speed mod. Which version of the max speed mod do you recommend for someone like me? I know that at the end of the day only I can decide, but I just wanna know what you think
The best way I would suggest is by driving your car on the highway and determining a speed you think should be enough for you to escape the cops at that time. The reason I say this is because even if you have two cars with the exact same stats (300 rating same power, speed, and accel) one might actually be a lot better than the other.
However if you want just my general opinion:
New Game Beginner 120-130 Experienced 130-140 Skilled 150-160
End Game (Car Rating 300 or more) Beginner 140-150 Experienced 150-160 Skilled 170-180
I think I might add this to the readme as well encase anyone wonders the same thing in the future.
Comments with "Hello, producer. After installing the mod, the vehicle's health remains full all the time, regardless of the car. Even after removing the mod, the issue still persists. I have ruled out conflicts with other mods.
Are you talking about the player or the cops? Either way the health mod only touches the files that effect cop health. The other mods have no effect on health. Once the mod is removed it should revert the cops health values back to vanilla.
I'm using the one that reduces police damage by 75%. After enabling it, I can one-shot the police, but my health never decreases. Even after disabling the mod, the effect still persists.
i've noticed that the Ford Explorers do not take damage at all, any other cop is out after a few bonks but the explorers are not affected by the cop health mod(using the -75% one)
Hmm I just checked the mod files and I couldn't find any issues there.
To simplify what the No_Overpowered_Cops_Health_Minimum.fbmob file does: (1) Set Displayed max cop health to 7. (2) Set max cop health to 7. If someone tries to use the health mod online then (1) will still occur, but (2) will not. The player would still be able to damage the cop car, but the displayed health bar would stay full until it goes under 7.
However since you said the other cars are displaying correctly I can assume you are using the mod in Offline mode. My guess is that the Ford Explorers operate differently from the other cars and that (1) is still occurring for them while (2) is not which is why their displayed health isn't dropping (The Ford Explorer I think has over 40 health so it would take a ton of damage for the displayed health bar to actually start lowering). The issue could also be caused by other mods.
I couldn't find a way to fix this so I will add it to the description that the displayed health bars of the Ford Explorers are bugged. If you decide to prove/disprove my displayed health vs actual health theory on the Ford Explorers let me know. You would probably have to hit it on the side over 15 times with a 8 second break between each hit for them to finally break down (When a cop takes a collision from a player, they become immune to player collision for a few seconds).
