The mod just does not work as of right now. I have followed every instruction given by the mod creator and other online sources and the modpack just doesn't work properly. I followed the priority least perfectly with the same mods as in the pic provided with the mod, followed all the steps, and still the only mod that actually works is the new camera. Everything else does not load ingame and the splash screen is still the default and not the remastered pack's splash screen.
Mod still works (with all the modules). I'm on the steam version of the game and using Frosty Mod Manager 1.0.6.3 to load the mods in. Game is installed in C drive. Mod manager is installed in C drive. When launching the game using mod manager, steam asks for special permission (displays a prompt to launch with custom arguments) as mod manager changes certain files of the game. Mod manager also prompts to create a symbolic link on fresh copy of the game. Tried on windows 10 and 11.
With a 9070XT GPU on the Night Clear+FilmicFX configuration, this tanks my FPS down into the teens and single digits with 100% GPU utilization. I adjusted the Ultra.cfg "resolution scale" to 1, as recommended by another user here, but that did not resolve the issue. I don't really know what this modpack did that could cause such a powerful card to peak out on utilization and return such low framerate.
Could be due to the particle effects mod. I plan to revise it in the future. Current solutions include turning down the effects settings to medium (or not using that particular module). In my experience I never faced constant stutters, but only stutters when the smoke effects kicked in. I am on very low-end hardware (integrated graphics/940m).
Is it only on my side that steering feels lazy? Turning is just so slow and when finally i manage to turn in high speed corners the steering wont straighten itself and i get pushed into a wall.
Haven't really faced what you're describing. Are you using it with other mods? If no, try deleting your game settings and then adjust your input sensitivity. I use xbox controllers btw.
Thank you so much for this mod. This is probably the most impressive and complete mod out of all the modern NFS titles. I absolutely adore how challenging the police are, and makes the world feel much more interactive. The handling model in this mod is also the best handling model in any NFS, period. It’s fluid, smooth, and easy to learn unlike Project Unite. The amount of customization is such a breath of fresh air that I confidently can say this is finally the complete NFS experience. My only suggestion is that there should be more varied police units active during chases. However, this is amazing as is. You’ve done an incredible job and I desperately hope EA implements an offline mode into this game so I can enjoy your mod for the foreseeable future.
As of 2025, I can confirm that, this mod works wonderfully, without any issues. (Used FrostyModManager). Handling feels A LOT smoother, and it made the impression that the engine doesn't try to take the control of the car randomly anymore. Cop chases are a bit more challenging, but I especially love the improvement made in particle effects & shaders. I always thought that some parts of the game were way too dark in the original, and the clear weather presets make it extra pleasant to play since now you can ACTUALLY see the crossroads. Beside that, camera placement feels better than the original for my taste. Overall an amazing collection.
I am having problems with very low FPS in any graphics preset with rain is there something i could do about that since i really liked the look of the rainy night preset.

(Edit) I changed the resolution scale on the bottom of the Ultra user.cfg to 1 and now my GPU sits at 30% utilisation when capped on 100fps
Love the Mod installed kt and works like a charm, just one question where can i add the user.cfg file? i looked everywhere and in the documents i can't find the correct folder to swap it. can anyone explain to me how i can add the user.cfg file?
