    Hallo Fredfrep.
I am an old gamer that enjoys some op units and good unfair battles and this mod should give me a lot of fun.
Please assist me I have installed your mod and I think its awesome btw. I have a challenge with the mod, all my generals and admirals and all the units linked to them cannot move, is it intentional or have I done something wrong?
I installed as per your instructions dumped everything into the data folder.
I tried ignoring those units and even dismantling them, then I found that I cannot recruit them again nor can I recruit any other first rates or over first rates.
Then I tried to edit your files in the mod but after that it does not load anymore.
I would like to play with this mod but alas there are very few units to recruit and only weak ships.
Is there a way I can fix this or will you be willing to assist me? Either way I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.

BTW: my game copy is the latest one with the April 2023 update.

Hello! Sorry for the late message, personal life and work has gotten in my way of updating this mod but once I find the time, I will update it soon but to answer your question... delete everything in your steamapps/common folder and reinstall NTW through steam, then run the vanilla first to install any necessary updates and then redownload this mod and reinstall to proper location

I just did it earlier to test

Hello!  I was REALLY hoping that you'd be willing to help me out.  Is it possible to get something more specific?  I will happily contribute to your Patreon or whatever you have. All I want is faster research(player only), and 12-pounders for the British.  Even if you could point me in the direction of how to accomplish this myself would be great.  If not, that's cool too, but here's hopin!

I did a simple google search for you but unsure if you are aware of twcenter.com? it is the prime area where almost all Total War modders get their info...

but here, hopefully this helps you out:
      1. Research Points all Developed before the First Turn
      2. One Turn Tech Edit

I never looked into something that niche like that because I could just add finished family array nodes of all developed technology for a faction in startpos.esf or editing the db table above to only have one faction immediately research all tech or give some tech to a faction without having others researching the same thing, etc. etc. but good luck

I genuinely appreciate your response!  Alas, I've seen both of these.  The first one is beyond me, I tried for half a Saturday to make it work to no avail.  And the second did work, for everyone(cue the professional soundbite).  Then it took a long time to get the original file back, as I deleted it on accident like an idiot.  So neither of these worked for me.  But!  Thank you for taking the time, I'll just have to hope for more gentlemen to spawn, as everyone does.

ah you wanted more gentleman? so I took a look into it

theres two nodes that hopefully can give you what you want (its the only actually relevant data to your request that I've found).

      So two options:
      1. Get more Agent spawn through Government types (in this case, either Absolute Monarchy/Constitutional (Britain)/Republic)

      or

      2. Get more Agents spawn in General (regardless of gov types, factions)

-If you do by government types - for that gov type you can increase the modifier value probability higher
If I'm looking at the data table, looks like default is 0.5 for absolute monarchy for gentleman --> you can possibly increase to 2 or 3 but you have to do an trial and error for this because I'm unsure if that bump increase in value will make the game spawn 14 gentleman in 2-3 turns compared to the default 1 gentleman every ~1-3 turns, unsure... you might have to play around with it

-2nd option, current default is 0.05 modifier value (base_chance) for everyone to get an gentleman

Unfortunately, there isn't too much data out there to tell you exactly what those numbers will mean (meaning how it will reflect in the game; like above, how many gentleman an faction will spawn depending on the corresponding value changed above by you)... you'll have to play around with it :/

But here is the node you want to look for in the DB:
      -agent_spawning_to_government_types
      -agent_spawnings

Not sure if you modded NTW before, but I would download Pack File Manager 5.2.4 ----> install properly ---> open data.pack ---> extract right-click on the node up there, hit extract to this folder (make folder named 'db' anywhere desktop, documents, whateves), close PFM, reopen and select New ---> title the pack whatever name.pack ---> Add --> directory (select the 'db' folder in the desktop)

Then after that, edit the modifier values to your experiment ---> save the .pack again, then place that .pack to the main NTW game folder and run the game. Just know that, if theres an mod that edits the agent spawning node too, either yours or theirs won't run.

Hope this helps more? Good Luck
