This thing is absolutely fantastic for finding artifacts, but if you're noticing lag in the ruins this things to blame. Turning it down doesn't help either, because it keeps all the little yellow orbs lit up while you mine it can lag an older processor to shit. I still run it for artifact hunts because revealing *everything at once* is worth a laggy dig, but if you've got the drill it's best to uninstall this mod while you're mining for materials.
It works great but I started experiencing stutters when inside the ruins, is it because the scanner is always active?
I don't understand how to get the names to show up? I already have the scanner upgrade, I can see the yellow blips and when I use the scanner, they are outlined and marked, but there's never any names. Is it an ingame option for it? EDIT: NVM, figured out I still have one more upgrade to buy after reading the wiki.
So just curious... how is this supposed to work? I scan and see the little blips and what not, but I'm digging and digging and digging, and while I'm getting resources, I'm not going any further and reaching the relics/treasure/etc...
I wonder if it would be possible to have a setting that lets us toggle labels for items that we already collected? Like if we had 1 or more of Fortune Cat Piece 2, then "Fortune Cat Piece 2" would no longer show on screen in a scan, making the rest of the labels easier to read. It can still keep the vertical lines and the glowing orbs though. Thanks again for the mod.
Almost missed this. I was using the other range extending mod, but this mod is far superior. You can set the distance to at least 2x, and never need to actually use the scanner. Just see all the orbs around you at once, it's great!
First you need to download Unity Mod Manager and install it for this game. Once that is done, you can either drop this zip file onto Unity Mod Manager, or unpack it into the Mods folder in your MTAP application folder.
Thanks mate for this. Loving it. I started with 3x range and it was a bit overwhelming, but at 2x it is perfect. Actually even on 1x it is still great as it makes hunting for treasure easier, since I do not have to keep switching to scanner, except when I want to mark/outline items. Really great =D
Thanks for the great mod. There seems to be a problem, however, as certain relic parts are no longer showing up on scans. So far, I've noticed that scans no longer reveal Performance Center Model, Goddess Statue, and Catmaid Statue pieces.
Disabling the mod and using the default scanner reveals those missing relics as usual.
I think what you are seeing is that when you reset the dungeon, it only got a partial list the next time you enter the dungeon. If you leave and come back, the list should be full again. Anyway, in 0.2.2 I have fixed that problem, and it should always get a full list of items even after you reset. Please let me know if 0.2.2 solves your problem. I'm pretty sure it is not skipping any specific items, as they all show up for me (if they are in the randomly generated list).
There are no options for it yet, you just go into a mine and use the scanner as normal. If you only have the basic scanner, it will only show yellow dots, not the outlines.
It does not always work, I am using this with enhanced scanner to increase the range, originally I thought it might be an incompatibility but they both seem to work fine when this mod works.
Usually I will have to go into the mine with this mod enabled, scan, leave the mine, disable this mod, reenable this mod then go back into the mine, then it will work... bit of a pain but I like this mod so its worth it :)
What do you mean by does not always work? If you can tell me exactly what happens, I can try and troubleshoot, but please disable any other scanner mods first. I can add a range extension to the mod if that helps.
I mean if I go into the ruin nothing happens, the scanner does not show anything whether I scan or not, only by disabling and reenabling the mod does it work, sometimes if I just go into the mod menu and disable and reenable it and scan it will work, sometimes I have to disable it, leave the mine and reenable it and it then it will work when I go back in.
Edit: nvm you don't need to scan with this mod I thought you did LOL, either way nothing shows up until I do the disable reenable thing...
I think I figured out what is happening... after you reset the dungeon, it doesn't work right away, you have to leave and come back. Fixed in the next version, please test and let me know if it works for you.
Ok so now it works fine, but if I scan the blips show up outside underneath the city when I leave the ruin, also not sure if its anything but some blips stay even after I take the loot...
Thanks for the feedback! I've fixed the indicators staying when you leave the dungeon, but I don't know about the blips staying when you collect the treasure. I can't reproduce that. If you could figure out exactly when it happens, that might help.
