Description
I always didn't understand why there are no penalties for being tired or even for passing out. That's why I made this mod.
But for not being just a "nerf"-mod, I also granted some positive buffs.

This mod brings some immersive changes to My Time At Portia:
  • drain stamina when tired: -1% stamina per 2 ingame minutes after 2am
  • gain stamina when in player's home: +1 stamina per 2 ingame minutes (not when tired)
  • gain health when in player's home: +1 health per 2 ingame minutes (not when tired)
  • gain stamina when in tavern: +1 stamina per 5 ingame minutes (not when tired)
  • gain health when in tavern: +1 health per 5 ingame minutes (not when tired)
  • reduce stamina when passing out: -50% stamina on the next morning when passing out at 3am (only when passing out outside player's home)
  • drain stamina on cold weather days (rainy days or snowy days or on non-sunny winter days), when being outside for more than 1 hour: -1 stamina per 2 ingame minutes (new in version 1.2.0)
  • no drain effects during festivals, but only during the times the festival is active, not the whole day (new in version 1.3.0)
  • a special survival mode for experienced players (basically a harder version of the mod): doubles all drain effects, -75% stamina after passing out, you're getting cold much faster and it disables gain effects (new in version 1.2.0)

The stamina gain/drain is independent of the game speed - so no matter if you play at 50% or 100% game speed.

All settings can be toggled in the UMM menu.

This mod is designed to be compatible with every game language, but currently only has translations for english and german (and defaults to english, if you play on another language).
But you can help with translating - see "Translation" below.

Requirements
Unity Mod Manager - https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/21/

How to install the mod
  • Download the latest version of this mod.

***If the game is updated, open UMM and install the Portia profile again.***

  • Pause the game by opening any menu (so the mouse cursor is available)
  • Use Ctrl + F10 to open (or close) the Mod manager
  • Ensure this mod is enabled on the right - Status should be green.
  • Click on "Better Immersion" to open options menu
  • Adjust settings as desired
  • Click "Save" and close the UMM menu

Translation
You can help translating this mod to other languages than german or english, by creating a new json-file (UTF-8 encoding) in the lang directory of this mod or edit an already existing json-file and save it with a new name.
Currently supported languages by the game:
  • SimplifiedChinese
  • English
  • German
  • French
  • TraditionalChinese
  • Italian
  • Spanish
  • Japanese
  • Russian
The json-file must be named like one of the languages above, e.g.: spanish.json
I'd appreciate when you send me your translation so that I can include it in this mod - of course I'll credit your work.

Known Issues
  • not fully compatible with "Dynamic Weather" mod (but works) - "Better Immersion" will be patched later when "Dynamic Weather" isn't "alpha" anymore - seems to be working meanwhile

Credits
Since version 1.3.0 this mod uses the JSON library by danielcrenna.
